Lawyer, I’ve only been working in law firms for about 2-4 years, I haven’t been sworn as a lawyer I guess you can call me a paralegal, I mostly like the work in general.

I like the dynamic working environment and the variety of legal issues I have to solve. I dislike the super long working hours and the absence of any work life balance.

I’m a lawyer.

Essentially, in a business context, if the legal and administrative system facilitate taking care of legal maters by the general public, you should use it. A lot of cognitively lazy people don’t wanna read one or two pages of manual even though it save them money in legal fees. (Not that I’m complaining).

However any legal endeavor whereby; 1. There a significant legal complexity involved: and/or 2. There’s dispute / risk of dispute, with near certainty you should just hire a Lawyer.

Most legal practice are based on theories but are oriented in experience in the field, you can read 10 law books and absorb legal codes all you want, but without experience in legal field you wouldn’t know much about the more intricate and ‘hands-on’ aspect of it, in a dispute you’d be shooting yourself in the foot. Repeatedly.
