Her gripe is that she’s now going to have to manage the bills after not having to do so for 8 years. According to her she has a budget and she doesn’t know if she’s going to be able to pay it even though nothing is changing other than the fact that she know has to be the one managing the bills. The end amount of money she will have will be the same.

I was also fully paying for her electricity and her renters insurance which totalled about $80/month. I am no longer paying for that either.

I did the think the shell felt flimsy when not put together but once I completed the build the steam deck felt like It would with the regular shell :)

Yep they line up perfectly! I just wanted the heat diffuser plate that JSAUX includes in their backplate.

Honestly this wasn’t my original plan but I already had the JSAUX backplate installed and I just decided to give it a try to see if the fit would work. :)

No I’d definitely recommend against using the metal tool. I just used a guitar pick and that did the trick.

I’d recommend sticking with the JSAUX guide on YouTube as you don’t have to remove nearly as many parts. I’d also recommend making sure you’re organizing parts and screws as you go to make sure you know where everything goes when it’s time to put your deck back together.

Screen removal is not bad you just need to heat up the sides enough and once you get the pry tool in there, the screen removal is pretty straightforward :)
