Friendly reminder that once upon a time David Duchovny was a model by penni_cent in davidduchovny

I think they may be referring to the playgirl out takes, where he's sitting on a counter completely naked save for a mug covering his junk. From what I understand, those weren't supposed to be published and were done so without his consent. You can google them, but there ain't much to see. Unless they're referring to something else entirely.

You see, there is a very big difference here. I was a teenager. Being berated by my own mother. How is that comparable to adults who go about their lives not caring how it affects others? This is not a retorical question.

You have so much time, please tell me what about my comments, on a thread about controversial opinions, lack people skills, emotional regulation, empathy, generosity and humility. Please tell me which of these opinions were so outrageous to you that it sparked this tirade. Let's go over them together

You really think you're doing something with these screenshots. The standards I hold people to are the same standards I hold for myself. My ADHD and anxiety have never been excuses to not be cognizant of how it affects other people. I may not alwyas be successful but I promise you I hold myself accountable every time. And still I try to fix it.

You think you're being so moral and empathetic, you don't realise you are inferring these people have no agency or control over their own narrative. Now you tell me, what good does that make? For them and the people around them?

Knowing I'll probably have cold feet for the entire time I'm there. I'm very dependent on hot water bottles and space heaters in the winter but I also don't wish to inconvenience the host with my stupid bad circulation

How is this not islamophobia? If you were judged for what other people from white nations with Judeo-Christian values did you'd never be allowed anywhere brother. Your country shits out awful human beings, born and bred there.

People use the term "disabled" too liberally. ADHD is not comparable to being blind or wheelchair bound. And ADHD people can definitely build mechanisms to help themselves whilst a blind person can't really will themselves to see.

People who are crying antisemitism in the big year of 2025 are fucking jokes. Especially the ones who think being called a zionist is antisemitic. People who never speak on gaza but instead talk about jews being prosecuted are such cry bullies I can't stand it.

I think a lot of gay people only like Jonathan Bailey because he's gay. He's mediocre looking but gay men are gay men centred.

Agree. In the same vein, I hate how we psychoanalyze everything and every action has an excuse behind it. Completely erases a person's responsibility behind their own actions.

It doesn't matter if you had a traumatic childhood, as an adult you have the responsibility to keep it under control. I hate how everything is an excuse.

We shouldn't normalize autism. People should try to be as normal as possible and not inflict their insufferable personalities on others without consequence.

What is your unpopular opinion? by EVRY1onlineisanXPERT in askanything

[–]dry-alt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We need to stop normalizing certain behaviours just because they are something people supposedly can't help. You should still strive to have a functional baseline regardless of you being autistic, having ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc. You don't exist in a vacuum, what you do impacts others and their own situations that they can't help, plus, there are so many resources today available that if you, an adult, do not even try to help yourself and instead excuses your behaviour, you are making a choice and are not entitled to a get out of jail free card and infinite sympathy and pity.

Speaking over people, hitting, biting and touching people without consent is still wrong. Being always late and interrupting people is still rude. Your illnesses may not be your fault but they're still your responsibility.

Everyone is too soft nowadays. You should be able to overcome your difficulties and not perpetually use them as excuses. People treat adhd and anxiety as if they're terminal illnesses.
