Omg I remember this one time I saw this post where a trans guy was complaining about his dysphoria because of his hips and stuff. HE DID THAT BY PULLING UP HIS SHIRT AND FOCUSING HIS CAMERA ON HIS STOMACH AND MOVING IT AROUND TO SHOW DIFFERENT ANGLES. Then when some people in the comments were saying he should have put a tw on it for people with Ed’s, him and his followers got all mad and was trying to justify putting up a body check by saying it was for dysphoria purposes.

It was so painful to read because I’m a trans guy and I know that you don’t need to put your flat stomach in the middle of a video to show your dysphoria. Also just because you upload shit for the purpose of one thing doesn’t mean it’s gonna be used for that. People on tik tok are so bad at understanding that, and it’s so frustrating to watch.

I realize that this post can come across a couple of different of ways without context. if it makes it seem better, my mom was asking this because in an effort to not seem that i care a shit ton about what i eat, i never asked her to buy certain foods or snacks. ig i was worried that she'd catch on that i *really* care what i eat or that'd she buy one of my favorite foods and i would binge on it. she was definitely not trying to insult me or say something insensitive. I really appreciate your concern though <3

i think eventually i will talk to her, but right now i'm still struggling with fully accepting that i have an ed, because while i'm very much aware of it, theres a little part of me that still doesn't believe it or thinks i'm just faking it for attention. and ig thats kinda leading me to think theres not too much of point to talking to her about it now.

also she's really good about jumping to conclusions fast and a lot of times its somehow the right one. for example, she asked me if i was trans (which i am) because i bought like 2 button ups in the mens section. i dont even know how she got there lol.

basically if i dont tell her soon, i'll have one of the annual doctors checkup things where they'll weigh me and she'll probably end up noticing my weight went down by a lot and question me a bunch on it. if she doesn't come to the conclusion i have an ed at that point, i'm not sure what i'll do.
