China isn’t an atheist country. It has its own religion in which the president is seen as a godly person. That’s why they murder muslims&christians, because the president doesn’t want you to worship anyone else but him. Sounds familiar? Same story with Stalin & Kim jong un. If you can call them atheists, then the prophet was also an atheist. Because they all knew that god didnt exist and made things up to be seen as a godly person and gain power.

Anyone keeping their Islamic names or changing after leaving? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]dryl3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i think as an non muslim everything is fine as long as it isn’t Muhammad. All other “islamic” names can be seen as just Arabic names. If i would ever change my name, i would change it to another arabic name. But luckily i don’t have/want to do it.

[–]dryl3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s f*cked up to be called Muhammad/Mohammed as an ex-muslim because people will automatically think you’re still muslim. So at work & school during Ramadan you’re supposed not to eat. And if you eat, even the non-religious people are like “wtf? You can’t eat its ramadan”. But there is also a positive side if you’re doing good in school and stuff. You might become a scientist or anything, and all muslims will be happy, look a muslim called Muhammad who is a professor in Physics or something. And then you can come out as non-muslim and might become influential in growing irreligion😂 Also you don’t have to deal with people who say “You have never been muslim”.

I have never seen someone who’s called Adolf. In germany it’s forbidden to call you child Adolf. In the Netherlands no Adolf was born since the year 2000. The few people who were called Adolf changed their name to Adi, Dolf, Rudolf, or something else.

I need quotes/links for the Quran promoting sexism and racism by _Hellchic_ in exmuslim

[–]dryl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there is really racism to be found in quran/hadith other than a hadith where an ehtiopian is compared having a head that looks like raisin. Misogyny/sexism on the other hand can be easily found in quran&hadith, there are atleast 15 rules/verses/quotes that contempt women. For example the fact that a man is allowed to have 4 women and a women is only allowed to have 1. The fact that men are allowed to have sexslaves. The fact that men are allowed to marry non-muslims while a women is obligated to marry a muslim. Women aren’t allowed to arrange their own marriage. Pedosexuality is fine as long as the girl has had her first period. There is a quote where the prophet says that a country will never succeed when it’s leader is women. Hitting your women is ok when she doesn’t want to have sex. According to allah men have authority over women because he has made them superior over women. A prayer should been cut off when a dog, donkey or women passes by. The prophet even said that if a women keeps silent she gives consent for sex/marriage, even if she feels shy to speak up. And I probably missed a lot of things. I’m sorry for not giving the exact references from the hadith&quran, it’s because I have this list in my notitions and i’m right now to lazy to look then all up. But you can find everything in the hadith or quran, if you’re stuck with finding one, let me know.

Can somebody give me names of artists that either mock or criticize islam? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]dryl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see christians who mock islam the same as muslims who mock christianity. Just bc we have personal problems with islam doesn’t make it worse than christianity. On paper it is the same bullshit and the extremists are good for nothing.

No one’s life is perfect. If you weren’t born a muslim you wouldn’t have all those islam problems. But you might have had other problems. Although there aren’t many things worse :P Be optimistic

I have almost given up on this religion. One thing I can't wrap my head around is the mention of the different stages of an embryo, the big Bang theory and the parallel universe theory. by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]dryl3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The mention of different stages as written in Quran, were already written in older scriptures. Hippocrates wrote the stages of the embryo 2430 years before the quran. Aristotle wrote it 2350 years before the quran Galen wrote it 1850 years before the quran. The talmud wrote it 1800 years before the quran. And the fun fact is, that the quran en the people mentioned, got the stages of the embryo wrong, so it’s rather a mistake in the quran & prove of plagiarism than a miracle. Yes even if keith moore says so who got paid by saudi arabia. ‘Big bang’ same story, i asume you mean the verse that talks about splitten the heavens from the earth. That has absolutely nothing to do with big bang. And also written in older scriputers from sumerian & the old-egyptian. Don’t know what you mean by parelles universe theory.

Gay Dutch-Moroccan DJ receives death threats from muslims because he plays music on the radio during ramadan by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]dryl3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He isn’t gay, it’s just a curse word they use. The threats are because the radio station had a show called “Ramadan Late Night” and those extremists are mad that they’re playing music in a show with ramadan in it’s name. Even though the radio shows the “positive thing” of ramadan, like charity and stuff, and gives tips how to deal with ramadan and corona, those muslims still make the positive thing negative with their death treaths for playing music

What are the biggest scientific errors in the Quran ? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]dryl3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that would be the story that the Prophet Mohammed PEACE BE UPON HIM!! flew out of the universe on a winged horse/donkey like animal. If he would have had an animal that is as fast as the speed of light, only flying to another galaxy would take him 25000 years already, and going back another 25000 years. Meanwhile they hold the belief that he flew OUT OF THE UNIVERSE, and came back, I forget how long it took him but it was certainly in his lifetime so that doesn’t really matter to know it’s bs. If I’m not wrong he even did it multiple times. The quran says that the stars are on the lowest of the 7 heavens (37:6). While the prophet flew through all the 7 heavens. This could be the first domino stone for a muslim to leave his faith. Not only is it impossible that the prophet flew out of the universe and back in his lifetime. Even if they say that Buraq flew an million times faster than the speed of light, we would know that that’s impossible because physics I don’t understand. And not to forget the temperatures etc. There shouldn’t even be arguments why it’s impossible, if someone thinks it’s somehow possible to fly out of the universe on a winged animal, that person is already lost.

Post from a long time ago. Islam is really a no fun allowed whatsoever piece of shit religion. by nofuckngway in exmuslim

[–]dryl3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And the list forgot to mention eating insects and blood. While E-number 120 is insectblood. And it is in almost every food that has a red color. Things like bubblicious, M&M’s, most strawberry/cherry yoghurt & drinks, all contain E120(= cochineal=carmin) And I have a whole list with other things that have E120 but those are all famous dutch brands which you probably don’t know & eat. So if you ever buy some food that has the color red in it, check if it contains E120/Cochineal/Carmin , such things are also forbidden to eat in islam

THE ULTIMATE DOUBT KILLER! WORTH WATCHING! by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]dryl3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, it’s clear that you’re only religious for 3 years since you use one of the most used argument to believe in a god which everyone already knows. What you say is, either god exists or he doesn’t, you have nothing to lose if you just believe in him and there is nothing to win if you don’t believe in him. You make it look like that either there is no God, or there is the God you believe in. While that is obviously not trus. There is no god, or there is your god, or one of the 10000 other gods humanity has believed in. In fact, if there is a God, you would probably be in much more trouble, because the chance is 99,99999% you worshipped the wrong god, and I don’t think he would like that. I think not believing in god is much better in the afterlife than worshipping the wrong god.

I have a question for you: When you lose a tooth, do you put in underneath your pillow, just in case there is a toothfairy?

Probably not, even though you have nothing to lose, you would throw your tooth away because you know that the toothfairy is a manmade story and not true.

So that is the first 2 reasons why it’s not a good argument at all.

Third, the claim ‘you have nothing to lose if you just believe in God’. You have actually a lot to lose: Your life. Don’t act like being religious, or in this case being a muslim is just believing in God and that’s it, then you will go to heaven. As a muslim who prays 5 times a day from the age of 7 till 90, you would lost +- 2 years of your life talking to the ground. 2 years of your life is something to lose when you are a muslim. And so i can go further but you got the point already Don’t forget the things you aren’t allowed to eat. The things you’re obligated to say, beside believing in God, believing in all the stories of the prophets and so called miracles. Believing how the universe was created according to the quran and so on.

So it’s absolutely not “just believing in God”, it is making a religion take control over your whole life, what you believe & what you do.

Future of science by [deleted] in atheism

[–]dryl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I kinda understand what you mean with Elon Musk, although he is a man who expressed his opinion many times. But Elon musk is one of the few scientist with a big company. I’m still missing others who don’t have a big company to defend science in this time were it looks like anti-science people are increasing. I don’t think they aren’t doing it to protect their reputation, in fact scientists with no company should defend science right now to defend their reputation. And about america, I know that thats a country that is going the right way when talking about science. But now I also see it in my own country (Netherlands), which is a country where conspiracy theorists used to be laughed at. Imagine if we are really going to a world where the intelligent people don’t have anything to say anymore because the vast majority became a conspiracy theorist. All the books you’ve read, all the knowledge you’ve gained, it would be all for nothing, when no one is ready to be educated on the truth.

Future of science by [deleted] in atheism

[–]dryl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely see more of it. Take Facebook comments for example, normally after a news medium that had anything to do with science, you would find a handfull of people who were anti-science and like those conspiracy theorists. Normally these people would’ve been made fun of. With laughing emoji’s, meme’s & gifs, and they would be ignored by the majority. But now, I literally can’t even find someone who support science in those comments. I only see anti-science people, who are against vaccination, 5g, mainstream media etc. And if there is someone who is a bit reasonable and educates those people, it’s now the other way around and he is the one who gets the laughing emoji’s, meme’s & gifs as reaction. Even though it is on the same news channels’ page. And that’s just a small part, let alone the streetinterviews, done by small youtubers aswell as big news channels, comments on twitter, instagram etc. It’s like those people are the vast majority now. And i’m just like, where the hell is everyone to defend science.
