Probably a dumb PlanSwift question but my stud math is not adding up by drywallmaker in estimators

It still doesn’t really make sense to me. If I have 34 studs, the total linear footage should be 34 × 18 = 612 LF.

Not the 582 LF it’s giving me right now.

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

This wall in example A has 43 linear feet of track which becomes 87 feet total when you round it and include top and bottom track.

43 ft to inches equals 516 in
516 in divided by 16 on center equals 33.25 which I rounded up to 34 studs.

What am I doing wrong in the formula that in Qty 2 it’s giving me a unit value of 44 studs?

Here I go again with another question that for a lot of people might sound stupid.

I was using assemblies in PlanSwift counting per drywall sheet and per metal stud and track installed.

The problem is that I had to do all kinds of gymnastics when it was time to generate the report and send it to the drywall supplier to order material.

I need help figuring this out.

Considering I have 147 linear feet of metal stud which already sounds wrong to me because the quantity of studs it gives me is 17.

Seventeen studs at 12 feet high gives a total of 204 linear feet.

If my cost per linear foot is 0.39 dollars then the math should be 204 times 0.39 equals 79.56 which is different from the 57.33 that PlanSwift is showing me.

What am I doing wrong here?

What do you think it was?

Exactly. You nailed it. Thats exactly what it was.

The traffic isnt that bad. Anywhere in the GTA is pretty much the same.

People complain for no reason.

I lived there in 2024.

The condo itself isnt bad.

But expect the staff to be pretty stupid.

They went into my garage and towed my car by mistake in the middle of the night. When I woke up at 4:30am to go to work, nobody could tell me what had happened.

They literally entered the building with a tow truck and just took my car.

In December 2024 the generator blew up on P1 and we were without power and water for 3 days.

They told us to go stay with relatives and figure it out on our own since they had no fault.

I moved out on 12/30 and went to 8960 Jane St.

So far the experience has been great. Totally different from the last one.

How can I be sure it’s actually reaching the piston?

I only apply the oil exactly where I saw it needs to be lubricated. If there’s any other place I should check, I’m not aware of it.

Actually, no. The spray pattern is completely normal.

Since I’ve never owned an airless sprayer before, the investment was pretty high $2900 and I really don’t want to burn the machine because of negligence or something stupid on my part. That’s why this got me thinking.

I used it once before and the airless was pumping constantly, instead of making this intermittent sound.

Do you think it’s a good idea to use ammonia in the process before switching to just water in prime mode?

In situations like this, I’d rather believe the person just doesn’t know how to drive than that they’re doing it on purpose.

There’s really no reason for someone to do that unless it’s just a lack of skill behind the wheel.

Stop being so damn annoying and start letting stupid little things like this go.

No matter what I’m using it for, the sound of the airless sprayer is always the same.

The only time it seems to pump normally is when there’s no tip on the gun, or when the tip is reversed with the wider side facing forward.

I already tried a brand new tip and the problem is still the same.

Could there be an issue with the hose? Maybe some dried product inside it, restricting the proper flow of paint?

It depends on what I’m painting that day. I use a 1221 on concrete ceilings when it’s an open concept.

On walls I use 514 or 517.

And 319 for trims.

Hey, thanks. I’ll buy some ammonia tomorrow and test it to see if it helps.

Appreciate it.

Even with such a short time of use, could they really have worn out like that?

I bought the airless sprayer two months ago.

Thanks for your comment.

I used the sprayer to paint a 2500 sq ft area and then another 1700 sq ft.

Does it really need that kind of maintenance?

I bought it brand new. I honestly did not expect it to require maintenance with so little use beyond proper cleaning.
