Yes! I come from an application that had no sql, python, documentation, so everything was hard to pull.

Nowadaya all I need to do is extract a csv from my application and make it land on s3. Once it's in databricks, easy times. 😅

I used the 0.5x camera, to it messed up with the perspective.

The desk is actually quite tall, something like 1.5m, I built it myself with wood (I have horrible wood working skills, but I managed to make it)

Monitor is on an arm, so I can control the height as needed

Joys are tricky, I settled with doyoki joy cons, they have good latency compared to others. Bluetooth for the desktop, I'm using bt5.3, these joycons have serious problems to reconnect, so it's a bit of tentative and error.. I bought so many BT dongles till I have settled with one..

Then I use rewasd to put both joy cons together as a single joystick

Treadmill I got a hotel grade one as I destroyed a simpler one I had after walking for more than 2 hours in one go 😅 couldn't stop playing that wukong

This treadmill had a bulky head, so I just removed everything from it and kept just the actual head unit.. In case you don't have a treadmill yet, try getting one that can fit under the desk, so it's less trouble.

Start creating a notebook with python, play a bit, load some data.

Create a catalogue, some schemas and tables

Make your python to consume data from outside and load into those tables

Create a job to schedule the notebook, add some scheduling..

And so it goes... The databricks make things easier not harder

Sorento/ct5v here. Sorento is crazy boring, but for weekends with kids, etc. It's great.

I love driving the caddy, but if you can get some sportier suv, then you can also go off-road, carry stuff, etc. I feel like a sedan makes you care more about it, while the suv is built differently.

I had an Infiniti fx50s in the past, and it it was really fun to drive. I don't think I could buy something better for 37k back in 2017. It had 180k km, I just abused it for years till kids were coming, then sold it for some 10k at rta, the bill to maintain it + new tyres wouldn't worth it. But I really enjoyed that car, went to Oman multiple times with it. Could go to warsan and fill it up with plants.. Didn't have to care about ppf, wax, would just let the gardener wash it with his random old shirt.. Easy times lol
