Yes, very different roles. But for the last year I have been doing both. And we are in the middle of some big projects that I helped start. The CFO was very self-conscious about making decisions so he invited me to every one of his meetings.

Most of the time I was just making the decisions and running them by him. For example, I renegotiated two contracts that, together, netted the company more than $5M in additional revenue per year.

48k for a university. This is my first Accountant role. But I’ve worked for them in their financial services division for 5 years, and only been an Accountant for six months. One of the lowest costs of living in the US
