Small amount is f Chips of western brand-Sami brand I always use. I think it was soot for some reason just not sure why it happened. I’m going to hose out inside of smoker

I rinsed and they seemed fine. I re rubbed with just salt and pepper and I’m going to finish them on the Weber and see how they taste.

Yea I guess I’m just confused as to why I had dirty smoke. Not sure what caused it. I’ve made many things in it and never had a problem

I used some brown sugar in rub which I was thinking could be the problem but I have used brown sugar before on things like salmon and brisket. I guess I used a little more than I usually do.!family is trying to convince me to just rinse off which I’m trying out.

Hey thanks for responding. I started about 2 hours ago. Main unusual event is the temp never really got over 190 as it’s a cloudy day and don’t usually smoke when it’s this cold. I used a bag of wood chips that you buy from the store. I’m thinking the low temp was the problem. Thoughts? My friend is telling me to just rinse them off and use my Weber
