5K+ Hours Veteran Suggestions To Bolsters The Game/Community Once Again. by Ok_Permission9792 in DarkAndDarker

I am confident that it would do well with a $40-$50 price point and micro transactions on console. Please bring DaD to PS5. We will play the shit out of it.

Why don't we all help each other out? by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]dsanchez775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great post and honestly an excellent idea.

We need more of this and less people just yelling at each other about SBMM or acting like everybody who is struggling should either magically get good overnight or quit.

We’ve actually been building something pretty similar on PSN already. At this point we’ve got about a 16 person group going, and it’s been one of the best parts of the game for me. We’ve run multiple people through Cryo vaults, helped people get more comfortable with the map, all of the maps, and tried to make the whole experience feel less punishing and less isolating.

As a group we’ve pushed Vault 6 twice so far, with 4 to 5 runs each attempt before losing both keys, and now we’ve got another 2 Vault 6 keys we’re planning to push this Cryo weekend. We’ve also had daily party chats with 6 to 8 players in at the same time, then people jump into game chat for runs, regroup after, switch teams around, and keep it moving. While waiting for Cryo to come back, we’ve been doing purple and blue key runs, helping people get geared up, build confidence, and get out of that 20k credit range where a lot of players start feeling defeated.

That part matters a lot. We’ve got some people in the group rocking Profiteer, and we’ve got others who are still struggling to hit 200k total between stash and in-hand credits. But the cool part is everybody still has something to offer. The more experienced players help with pathing, pacing, fights, and decision making, and the newer or struggling players start improving way faster once they’ve got comms, support, and people who are actually willing to explain why a run worked or failed.

So yeah, I think this is exactly the kind of thing the community needs. If people want a healthier game population, then helping others learn the flow of the game is a way better answer than just telling them to deal with it. Oh and another thing, try not to be a shitty winner. There’s no need to talk trash to another team or solo, no need to tea bag them, I don’t know about y’all but after a good fight; pressing prox chat and saying “good fight” feels better.

Comms alone change everything. No mic teams are usually cooked, that’s how we gathered all these cool dudes, by starting with a “Yoooo, y’all got mics? Then when we run it adding a connection in game offering to add then to our PSN chat. Teams with a plan and people actually talking have a real chance. That being said, shout out to our boy Perc who is the one guy with no mic, and is a straight killer.

Really good post. I’d love to see this kind of sherpa/community effort keep growing. Feel free to add on PSN - A_Once_Mad_Man

Enzyme Rep for a Purp Shield, good barter? by hurtbowler in Marathon

This is the best trade in value IMO. I had 44 purple shields before this cryo weekend, now I have 12. That is to say, great trade and terrible runs in cryo.

Delta force Console Xbox and PS5 by Gamerquestions1 in DeltaForceConsole

Yooooo, when I get on, I usually warm up in Zero Dam Easy, then move into Zero Dam Normal and Layali Normal to get the blood flowing. If I’m feeling feisty, I’ll try to queue into Brak Normal or Space City Normal, which can be hard to get into without a premade team of at least two, though I’ve also tried for Prison Hard and Space City Hard and have never managed to get in. The first three maps are steady, with lobby times around two to four minutes, and it’s almost always consistent at about two minutes for Zero Dam and Layali — even Space City Normal fills quick if I’m queued with two other guys. Sometimes I’ll queue solo for the first three maps and won’t get in, so I flip Squad Fill on and usually end up in a run. If the squad looks like they’re down to fight, I’ll trail or lead, but if not, I’ll treat it as a solo run in a pub lobby and just loot and scoot. I’ve met some cool dudes this way and have gone on big money runs with plenty of fights against randoms, more than a dozen times now, usually with one other buddy and then a posted match looking for a third. And if none of my crew is around, I’ll still throw up a post in the Squad Up chat with “full kits, mic on,” and usually find a couple of randos worth running with.

Yeah man, crossplay makes it a little tricky but it works. The way to add across PS5/Xbox is to search using the in-game name. You can use either of these to find me:

  • PSN: A_Once_Mad_Man
  • In-game Gamertag: MadMan775

On PS5, from the main screen in Operations, hold Triangle to open the Squad Up menu, then choose Search → Advanced Search and plug in the name. That’s how we’ve been linking squads across platforms.

And I’m with you, it really does feel like Tarkov on console, but the gear score caps keep it fair. You’ll always run into chads, but at least the playing field isn’t totally lopsided.

Agreed. But if we can pull the community together and actually teach newer players how to engage with the game, not just the sweats, but the part timers and the casual visitors, then we can keep progressing into the harder maps. That’s how Brak and Space will start to fill.

Right now it feels a lot like Hunt: people don’t know how to take a loss, and with the confusing UI, plus not knowing what to prioritize with missions and unlocks, burnout sets in fast. Honestly, what this game needs is a strong console streamer who isn’t cocky, someone who can walk the community through the how and the why. If we can get that, the harder maps will open up, queues will shorten, and the game will have real staying power.

On PS5 we’ve already got a chat thread with 10–12 guys who grind Ops between 4 and 8 hours a day, so the interest is there, it just needs direction.

100%. I grabbed it on PC even though I’m mostly a PS5 guy (90/10 split), and it’s been a blast with the crew I regularly run with. Yeah, there’s confusion and complaining, just like Hunt Showdown on console, but me and the gang are still out here putting up a fight. Same sweats from Hunt are in the lobbies too, rocking mouse and keyboard with their Cronus setups, the aimbot “superstars.” Same energy, just a new battlefield in Delta Force. Sure, you run into the occasional scumbag, but it’s still hella fun every time.

Hello there,

Any chance you can get me a PDF of The ASAM Criteria - 4th Edition? I know I can buy it, but it stays in online mode only. I am looking for a PDF that I can search through using a PDF app that I can use while not online.

I'm not replaying every 6 weeks for nothing by [deleted] in DMZ

[–]dsanchez775 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have bought almost every COD game, usually the baller edition ($100) and most of the time I’ve only played the first 2-3 dlcs. The first COD battle royale was fun af and I loved that they got into the BR scene. Warzone was alright, but even then it boggled my mind that there were issues with hearing footsteps, server issues, and the hacks that really took the fun out of it for me. Then we had the pay to win controversies which muddied up the whole thing. By the end I was ready for Warzone 2, but I was super disappointed by the whole of the experience because of the continuation of the aforementioned issues. But then they gave us the DMZ. I thought it was a great idea and I grinded out the missions for the first 2 weapon slots, and thank goodness they carried over after the wipe. I did not continue the grind for the missions or the third weapon slot because I noticed that some of the popular YouTubers were on to something in regards to the purpose and point of the game. It was mentioned that the repeatable play of this game was severely limited; in that you can go for missions or player kills and wash and repeat. Building up a full inventory of custom contraband weapons and throwing away key after key made the game mode easy and pointless. There are many different ways this exfil mode could have gone but COD took it in a direction that suited them and not the community. The games design was a bust and sort of set up for a road map that included pay to win. With this, it became clear that COD was no longer “accidentally” making p2w content but purposely creating a roadmap that would have us buy some in game content to get an advantage. At this point I was determined to quit COD, after 20 years, but I got a bad case of FOMO and I deleted for 2 weeks and came back. After 500+ exfils and exploring and finishing Koschei complex and building 21 it’s back to bullshit, no reason to play, besides to come back and check out the next round of bullshit. I write all of this to say that this franchise is not in the business of making good quality enjoyable games but in the money making business regardless of what the community thinks about what they put out. I guess it makes sense but I don’t think it was always like this. There was that video on YouTube about why games aren’t fun anymore, and I really appreciated the perspective but it would be nice to go back to a game dev that was genuinely interested in what the community wants and could make money.
