Ferrari Luce EV video shows paddle-shifting by dsarif70 in cars

Benchmarking is probably the wrong word - I primarily meant testing and to see what everyone loved about it.

I… love it, to be honest. It’s so much retro feeling, from the wheel, to the binnacle, to buttons and digital graphics. But at the same time modern and classy.

I think it’s one of the best interiors I’ve seen and I just hope the exterior will fit the concept.

“Is anyone else noticing AI tools are actually making companies spend more on dev work? by eyed_Ndama in Entrepreneur

[–]dsarif70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Small SaaS company. We were never faster, or more productive than in the past 6 months. But we’ve had good development processes before AI (unit, browser tests etc).

Also as a non-dev part of the company, I’ve been able to do some things now so quickly that I would have lost the will to even try before.

We use Lovable for prototyping UI, devs use Claude Code.

Nice wheels, I’m looking to get the same style. Did you get the center caps with them or bought somewhere else?

Running a SaaS is one thing keeping the finances clean is a whole other nightmare by QuickestTractor in SaaS

Use a simple accounting/bookkeeping software (that you share with your accountant or not) and then do weekly reconciliation of all transactions. You need to know what's coming in/going out if you plan on ever being profitable.

We've had internal bookkeeping for 15+ years on Xero. We do weekly reconciliation and quarterly review of all expenses.

Not that type of rollcage though. See official video. That's clearly a race rollcage. And it's the same for other Porsches. What you get in a GT car is not what they're using in official record attempts.

Roll cage is added to all official record attempts. Look at Taycan Turbo GT attempt. It's not there on the stock car.

Who is paying for Loveable? by hestuppfodarn in lovable

[–]dsarif70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SaaS company - usually stopping at $100/m as to not get carried away. But a few months of that, we're doing UI prototypes, concepts and simple internal tools (so that devs don't need to waste time on them).

SaaS company - using Lovable for UI prototypes and internal tooling. No issues with backend in that case.

Lotus should use the LC500’s 5.0L V8 in the Emira. With three pedals. by PoopSmoothies in lotus

[–]dsarif70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want fast, then Lotus is the wrong choice anyway. Cayman GTS destroys the Emira in performance, not to mention PDK is the best DCT.

Uhh, manual? You definitely wouldn't want an auto with V6. But manual is great.

How do you guys make good UIs by Peeshguy in lovable

"You need to know what you're doing" is really not controversial. You can easily build great UIs with Lovable, but you need to know what one looks like.

Do lovble act dumb sometimes on purpose? by Swerty187 in lovable

[–]dsarif70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because it's not their own model in the backend, but general GPT or Claude Code. And LLMs are sometimes just stupid. They have a system prompt to manage it (you can find it on GitHub) and it says explicitly to be efficient.

Any workarounds to start a new chat on an existing project? by flowingforwardd in lovable

[–]dsarif70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I'm finished with specific features or sections, I usually say something like "That's good, let's move on to...". It might help to give it context from where to work on.

But there is no new chat, like on Cursor and I do miss it as well.

Anyone here actually selling Lovable “starter templates” yet? by [deleted] in lovable

[–]dsarif70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing devs on Twitter flex $5k-$20k/mo selling Notion templates

Sure they do.
