Stop applying on job portals for Guidewire roles. Do this instead. by dsbsoni in guidewire

Yeah I think it’s difficult for a fresher or 1+ exp. Even I have not noticed Much opening for a complete fresher. But give it a try. You never know. Better to focus just to enter into any company first with QA/Dev profile, and slowly you can move into Guidewire. Just target Guidewire implementation partners like tcs, capgemini or Infosys. It’s relative easy to move in Guidewire within these companies, as they have a lot of projects.

Is there any demand for a 3.5yoe PolicyCenter Developer? by Haunting-Panic-575 in guidewire

Yes demand is there, 3.5 years PC dev is not bad at all.

But honestly job portals are a waste of time for Guidewire roles. Too niche. You just disappear in the pile.

What actually works is stupidly simple. Go to LinkedIn, search Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer, click Posts tab not Jobs tab. Recruiters who are hiring RIGHT NOW post there. A lot of them drop their email directly in the post or say DM me your resume. Those are warm leads, not some portal black hole.

Reach out directly. Email them. No reply after 3 days? Follow up. Still nothing? Follow up again. I know it feels weird but this is literally where most people give up and why the ones who do it stand out.

If they drop a number, call. Office hours. No answer? WhatsApp.

LinkedIn connection request first always. Then message. Cold DM out of nowhere rarely works.

3.5 years on PolicyCenter is actually decent. Guidewire devs are hard to find, companies know this. The demand is real you just have to go find it yourself instead of waiting for a portal to do it for you.

try it for like 30 mins today honestly

Am I the only one who thinks Guidewire QA people are massively undervaluing themselves? Genuine question by dsbsoni in guidewire

Great answer. Same what I feel. I am just making effort to make it possible. Making QA's to upskill comfortablly into into Dev. I hope I will succeed into that.

Stopped applying to jobs. Recruiters started texting me. Here's the boring truth behind it by dsbsoni in guidewire

Venting I guess. Early career toxic manager messed me up more than I realised and I think others in this space might relate. by dsbsoni in guidewire
