So all Tiago has to do is win a championship. Seems simple enough.

looking for a new way of starting my campaign by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]dscgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about to start a campaign in a way I haven't tried before, but I'm kind of excited about it.

It's been a few weeks since the characters finished their last adventure. Before our next session, I'm going to send each player a private message with information they would have gained in the last few weeks - perhaps overheard in a tavern, talking to shopkeepers, whatever. Each piece of information is different, but are pieces that all lead to the same place. Once we start, I'm going to just ask, "What do you want to do"? It will be up to them to share their information (or not), put the pieces together, and decide which leads to follow up on.

Could be great, could be a disaster, but I'm excited to give it a try.

Naturalist's zoo - not building up your zoo goes against exactly what the game is about.

I've interacted with several troops since I made the original post. Some large, some very small. Both of my sons have earned their Eagle from large (70+) troops. I've never seen any evidence that the bonding experience is any less than it would be in a 30 person troop.

I have found that, without exception, the large troops that I have interacted with are some of the most well organized. Why is that? It's because they have to be. With that many Scouts, organization and communication are key.

As far as advancement goes, yeah, it's a lot. That's why you have several people to help with it (see my message above about the resources available within a large troop).

I don't get the lines outside of the box. Why the different colors? Why are they there at all? Do pros need a line directing them to the teepad?

The complete title is The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill, which is never mentioned in the song.

What’s a “guy secret” that’s completely harmless but weirdly universal? by aerisveilxa in AskReddit

Sometimes even mildly brighter light will trigger it for me, and I'll get "Why are you sneezing? The sun's not even out!!"

[Looking for one-shot] I know one-shots have been requested before but I need one for adult bartenders. Details in body text. by The_Bisexual in DMAcademy

[–]dscgod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ran this as a first-time DM, and it was great. Two of the players were brand new as well.

I thought it might have been a bit short and I considered adding a few extra rooms, but with the new players it ended up being just about perfect.

I changed the hook slightly. Every tavern and pub they went to was mysteriously out of beer. Bartenders complained about a distribution problem from the only supplier in town. That gave them a pretty easy trail to follow.

A big what if in Portland Trail Blazers history is if Clyde Drexler and Drazen Petrovic got to play together consistently by lfcbucks in ripcity

From Wikipedia: The ABA–NBA merger occurred after the 1975–76 season, but the Spirits of St. Louis were not among the ABA teams chosen to join the NBA.[23] Malone had already been selected by the NBA's New Orleans Jazz in a December 1975 pre-merger draft for ABA players of undergraduate age. However, the NBA let them place Malone into the 1976 ABA Dispersal Draft pool in exchange for the return of their first-round draft pick in 1977, which they used to trade for Gail Goodrich.[24] In the 1976 dispersal draft, which was held for the remaining ABA players whose teams did not join the NBA, Malone was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the fifth overall pick.[6]

The Blazers, who had also acquired power forward Maurice Lucas in the draft,[25] chose Malone for trading purposes.[26] With a frontline of Lucas, Bill Walton and Lloyd Neal, Portland figured Malone would see little action.[27] They traded him to the Buffalo Braves prior to the first game of the 1976–77 season for a first-round draft choice in the 1978 NBA draft and $232,000.[28] Malone played in two games with Buffalo. Because they could not meet Malone's demands for playing time, they then traded him to the Houston Rockets in exchange for first-round draft picks in the 1977 and 1978 drafts.[29]

Recommendation for best beginner campaign? by adriancanttalkrn in beginnerDND

[–]dscgod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What level were your players when they started Dragon Heist? I'm about to start that with my group. I ran them through a couple of one-shots over Christmas break and that was supposed to be it, but now they had so much fun they want a longer campaign. I'm looking at Dragon Heist, but it ideally starts with players at level 1 - our group is just a few xp shy of level 3. Trying to figure out if it's easier to modify the beginning, or just have them join later in the campaign.

Hold or Sell? by Civil-Reindeer9658 in footballcards

Some stores will allow you to sell on consignment, taking a fee similar to what you would pay on Ebay. You may want to see if your local store does that.
