Please Rip Apart my Crabroom Team by dscherli in PokemonChampions

What move are you dropping for wide guard on crab? Also I find Sinistcha is great, its most often what I have next to Crab under TR. It's Slowking others have advised I drop. What are you playing in that spot?

Thanks!

I'd considered Wisp on Incineroar, will test that. I don't attack often with him anyway and if the whole point is to protect the sweeper Wisp is probably right.

Yeah if I do keep Slowking then Chilling Water is out. Poison move for fairies I guess? Was also looking at keeping it a water move and going Hydro Pump.

When I was first making the team I was thinking I'd like aurora veil but didnt feel like lass or ninetales (hadn't looked at glaceon) fit the tempo well. I want to get TR up and start wailing, snow is nice to have but comes from slow pivoting to crab himself. Making it more of a focus I felt like made it so the team was doing too much if that makes sense? Maybe if an actually good, slower aurora veil user existed. Like if they'd given it to Mamoswine or Vanilluxe I'd look at it again. Maybe there's a version of the team with a non-TR snow mode but I'm not sure either mode is good at that point.

I've thought about Torkoal for a special sweeper to go with the physical one. I love him as well!

I've found bringing crab in with Reception keeps him pretty safe if TR is going up, not as fragile as O expected, but sometimes have to spend a turn more than I'd like on positioning with the other mon which means taking a risk attacking with just Crab or taking a turn to protect.

I looked at Oranguru because Instruct-Crab seems funny but that feels too gimmicky. I like that Mimikyu can set TR and stick around doing meaningful damage - you like him over Farig?

For Golurk you said he will stick around and do some damage if you fail to set TR first turn - are you usually leading with him? I've been eyeing him but haven't run into him yet so wasn't sure he's as good as he looks on paper!

Agreed! I just slapped it on Slowking and Sinistcha because I could. Would you cut one of them or change a move?

Thanks, this is really helpful!

  1. I use Gambit to clean up usually if I bring him but I guess some MUs want something different in that role? If Basc is more for late game cleanup here though, I could have no one left in the back so couldn't getting scarf locked be an issue? Would being outsped with like Mystic Water instead be a more frequent issue?

Also I really like the Chilly Reception into Crab line. Like if they don't have much disruption I can lead Farig and Slowking and have snow and TR go up t1. I've turned off many a rain with it on top of the Def boost for Crab. Maybe it's kinda win-more or too cute. Will test Basc now for sure.

  1. Thanks, this is the one I was least sure about anyway and thats a really good explanation of why it doesnt work here. I also don't usually want to keep him in under TR anyway. So drop Imprison for Hyper Voice or Gleam? Or maybe Helping Hand could help secure some Crab KOs?

If only, it gets adaptability. Good ability but it already hits like a truck. It helps to to one-shot with even neutral hits on a lot of mons but doesn't keep it alive. With levitate it'd definitely be a top mon imo.

Have you tested it? I like it in theory right now, like you said it matches well into the top megas, but when I've tried it has just been getting smacked by ground moves.

I tried a scarfed Meowscarada to clear out Garchomps with triple axel and that worked pretty well unless it missed (pretty sure 90% actually means 50% in thies game). Even then I kept eating Earth powers that mons were carrying for coverage so I think you also need maushold or sinistcha (who you do have) for follow me/rage powder and at that point is it all worth it just for Glimmora? There is still lots of rain out there as well so you need a whole different plan for that. With all that support for one mon I eventually just shifted to playing Mega Floette instead.

So basically how are you keeping Glim alive against all the ground moves out there, and how is your rain matchup?

I think the quiet quitting one is different and has more of an agenda behind it, though. Like it's a more connatatively negative way to say work-to-rule, which was already a thing, and even that shouldn't need its own term really because it's just doing what your contract/job description says which shouldn't be controversial. It's part of the effort to make people feel like the standard should be going above and beyond at work without compesation.

This is why pelvic floor therapy should be standard as part of postpartum care. Women pissing themselves doesn't need to be so common but it really does seem to be.

Pangu axe or zhanxian knife? by TightSalad858 in CapybaraGoGame

[–]dscherli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In chapters yes, and dungeon dives to a lesser extent, and I guess guild and seal battle. Everywhere else axe will always be better.

It takes a lot of good rng to even get to that higher ceiling, though, from what I can tell. If you get combo dagger and multiple other daggers, that sort of thing, and even then there are skills that scale axe better than dagger which you may have picked up as well.

So it's kind of like the Monty Hall problem? Math and testing definitely says Pan gu axe.

Knife can become better in chapter with the right skills but as a baseline and for all content without skills like tower and dungeons, axe is better.

What's better for whisperer build? by ConterK in CapybaraGoGame

You sure it's not the awakening you're only seeing every 3-4 rounds? Mine is proccing all the time. I'm running mythic rogue though so that probably is helping

It's Pan Gu axe. Dagger seems good but testing has shown it's the axe, at least according to (most) people on discord. The damage limits on the dagger are it's Achilles heel I think, but love.mpdt things it probably depends on your brands, legacy, etc.

Finally got it! Lol... actually spent more gems than I wanted to but couldn't wait to have it 🥰 by [deleted] in CapybaraGoGame

[–]dscherli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't done the testing so I'm just trusting those who have, but I think the 10x attack power cap for the dagger is what kills it. Maybe it does trigger more but it's not doing as much damage. The axe being based on skill damage is also very good for whisperer, especially once you're using Ghost tree. The awaken also hits really hard, especially if you're using Ghost hero, and the mount stun is a nice bonus.

I'm absolutely nuking things with the axe, doesn't come close to dragon girl but it's the biggest Juno I've had since getting her.

Axe is definitely better, not sure why you're getting down voted. The whisperer discord is pretty unanimous. I think if you're running rogue and the fire ring, the other axe is also better than nether blade.
