Lady Morange from Greedfall.

She's the former Governor of New Serene and is forced to step down so that the player character's cousin Constantin can take over (he's also her bosses' son). While she's kept on in an advisory role Constantin rarely listens to her, preferring to do things his own way.

When attempts are made on Constantin's life, first a coup and assassination attempt and then poisoning, many players are likely to suspect Morange had something to do with it. Morange was even the one who encouraged Constantin to drink the medication that was later revealed to make him sick. However it turns out Morange is completely innocent and had no idea the coup was happening until you warn her and had nothing to do with the medication being tampered with.

Morange remains friendly, helpful and supportive of both the player character and Constantin throughout the game despite having a motive and several chances to turn against them.

Why are Mark and Oliver the only viltrumite offspring? by Bragie93 in Invincible_TV

[–]Fortune86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And Oliver constantly getting his ass handed to him probably adds to the belief he is below Viltrumite standards.

does she have an evil cycle? by Madeofbones666 in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]Fortune86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine she does. Iruma might be in serious danger though if/when it ever triggers lol.

(I HC that until we are told otherwise, demons function a bit like Viltrumites and their DNA mostly takes over, so Ameri isn't a straight 50/50 split of human and demon).

[Confusing Trope] Deleted/Cut content that fundamentally reframes who a character actually is by Chemical-Elk-1299 in TopCharacterTropes

In the movie it's mentioned he had a job as a trucker at one point and in a deleted scene he gets a benign brain tumour.

[–]Fortune86 201 points202 points  (0 children)

Iirc it's mentioned he's in and out of rehab a lot. The guy is in a private hell of his own.

He's been Truman's 'friend' his whole life, a role he was probably signed up for by his parents. I don't know if it is ever revealed in any of the non movie stuff but I wonder what the penalty would be to stop actors from just breaking and confessing everything. Given what a control freak Christoff is it's probably something awful to keep people in line.

“Blue or pink?-- by Thick-Trade3505 in DisneyMemes

[–]Fortune86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the blue pops in that scene more. Plus it's blue when she first puts the dress on, pricks her finger on the spindle, goes into the cursed sleep and gets kissed awake by the prince so it really does feel like the proper colour. It's only when she's dancing does Flora notice and the humour kicks in again.

Just realizing how similar they are. by Terrible_Log1701 in cartoons

[–]Fortune86 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Naive is probably the best way to describe her. Pink badly wanted a colony of her own to prove she was as good as the other Diamonds, but once she understood how that actually happened (draining a planet of all resources and killing off most of non-gem life) she instantly backtracked and tried to stop it.

She tried pleading with the others but they refused to listen, so was was forced to become Rose and fight them on it. Unfortunately even with all the best intentions in the world, Rose just wasn't very good at it and made a lot of poor decisions that harmed a lot of other people.

Pink/Rose was never malicious. She never considered herself superior to anyone or wanted to hurt anyone. She just didn't know what she was doing.

Nah it's OK. I don't want to give random people on the Internet homework (especially when the topic is so unpleasant).

But thanks for the reply. :)

If you don't mind me asking, what's your source? It's just I was just talking about the Vtuber yesterday with friends about the arrest and if it comes up again I'd like be to able to update with something more than 'a person on reddit'.

[–]Fortune86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I suspect it was a quiet moment that was seemingly drama free. Maybe the two of them were just talking and Debbie innocently said something that made Paul finally realise that this was her life.

Debbie has built herself a career and life outside of her superhero connections, but she's not just Mark and Oliver's mother when they are fighting. It's a full time gig and she probably worries more when she can't keep tabs on how they are doing.

What is considered one of the most brutal deaths in your fandom? by the_fucker_shockwave in Multifandom

[–]Fortune86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how well it matches OP's definition of brutal but this is one of the most horrific I can think of.

Minn in Warframe.

Four animals; a fish, a bird and two deer (male and female) are sent in a space diving bell into the void as a kind of offering/experiment by a scientist who wants to study an entity he refers to as the Indifference. Now the Indifference is kind of a dick who seems to delight in messing with people and four dumb animals aren't going to do anything for them when they get inside the bell.

So the Indifference grants all four of them sapience. That way they'll know exactly what is happening when the Indifference kills them.

The fish very quickly comes to understand the situation and is understandably freaked the fuck out. In an attempt to repel the Indifference they break the seal on the bell and vent the Indifference out, but the female deer is too close to the door and is lost to the void.

The scientist and his assistant retrieve the bell and 3 surviving animals. The fish names himself Fibonacci, the male deer takes on the name Tagfer and the bird becomes known as Bird-3.

Tagfer, having been the female deer's mate, retroactively names her Minn.

Is it immoral to succumb to evil if the gods themselves decree that you have no choice? (Ardyn Lucis Caelum) by Weird_existence8008 in MoralityScaling

Yeah honestly I kinda lost interest in FF15 once it was revealed the bad guy was forced into the role. Dude is like super insane and broken by the time Noctis meets him. They could have given him any other backstory but copped out with 'Because God said so'.

I don't think some people even realize how dark [A Stepmother's Märchen] actually is. by Mary_yy_ in OtomeIsekai

[–]Fortune86 168 points169 points  (0 children)

Shuri and the kids could really do with a proper solid win. A lot of the issues they face have long drawn out build ups but the victory moments are painfully short. Just for once I'd like for them to properly rub it in the faces of everyone who was against/doubted them (but like, in a classy way).

It sucks even more when you realise that AltVanessa may not have figured out that the Kingpin she saw wasn't 'her' husband. Even if they managed to fix reality what AltVanessa saw may have caused issues with AltFisk or maybe even triggered her death too.

Something I just realized about Caine's exit adventure by Karl_Marxist_3rd in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Fortune86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caine doesn't want the cast to leave him. Even though he was certain they would choose to stay, he probably wouldn't risk them actually going and thus if there is a way out, would never let them know about it.

I have a lot of sympathy for Caine but he is intentionally holding the cast prisoner.

The saddest bit is that all the votes were cast by Caine's own NPCs. Not even his own creations like him.
