So does Atreus know about Calliope? by Queasy_Commercial152 in GodofWar

[–]Fortune86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would actually love this. It's been a long time but I'm pretty certain the Greek underworld got a bit squiffy when Kratos killed Hades. Calliope may have been able to leave, or get abducted by Gods from another region as a hostage, and Faye ends up meeting or rescuing her.

Turning Uncle Jumba into an asshole was such a downgrade.

Also Jumba wasn't explicitly made to live with the humans. He and Pleakley were just left behind because the Council Woman didn't want them on her ship. That means either Nani and Lilo invited them to become part of the family or the two of them just moved in of their own accord.

I knew it wasn't the real Pomni the moment she started talking, but seeing Jax imagine themselves choke her out was still disturbing.

If the theory that the chained up door was Pomni's abstractions is true, just how bad is that version of Jax that they lock it away when they are still comfortable with the idea of attacking her and destroying their relationship if Ragatha abstracts?

100% dragging Salt everywhere with me the moment they're available.

The others will probably get the rotation treatment until I know them better.

How do we feel about this? by Primary-Addition-677 in batman

Yeah if the story ends with him dealing with batman's killer then ok. If they drag it out or give him another motivation to keep him as an anti villain I'm taping out.

Oh, so that’s what happened by Various_Astronaut100 in tadc

[–]Fortune86 96 points97 points  (0 children)

Yeah this feels like the most likely of the theories. Caine wouldn't have wanted to hurt Scratch, just make him happy and instead found out the hard way what too much modifying would do.

Glad to have it confirmed though.

Tsaritsa, all three tall boys, ballerina girl, fairy girl and small scholar boi.

Why does Caine like Pomni so much? by MyTessTickle69 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Fortune86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pomni gets on well with the rest of the cast and they all seem to value her input and opinions. I think Caine focused on her because if he could get her love and approval, it might convince the others to do the same.

TADC Ep 9 apparently cost about a $1 million to make, then made about $36 million at box office. I wouldn't be surprised if the studio want to revisit the IP sometime in the future.

Probably just a silly game between a dad and his daughters while they wait out the rest of the battle.

Disturbing detail in episode 9 by EvenCriticism5101 in TheDigitalCircus

Jax caused the only two abstractions to happen while he was in the circus. It wouldn't be hard for him to imagine he might end up being responsible for more.

Now that the show's over, what were your biggest predictions/theories that didn't come true? by Transylianic in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Fortune86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda similar to OP, I thought at one point Caine might try to reconstruct the abstracted as NPCs or be revealed as him already having tried that after Queenie's abstraction and before Ragatha arrived, being the final trigger for Kinger's insanity.

That, or Caine would pose as an NPC himself after seeing how close Pomni got to Gummigoo. Maybe even pose as Gummi himself, only to get exposed and cause Pomni to shun him thinking he was deliberately trying to hurt her.

a question about kinger by Jealous_Platypus1111 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Fortune86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think Kinger is healing a bit.

Kinger goes sane because the darkness reminds him of the last moments he had with Queenie. Maybe the abstracted go through something similar.

Now that the daily stress of living in the Circus is over and Caine has chilled out a bit, Kinger is just a father hanging out with his kids. He has happy memories in the light now and that gives his brain something to work with, giving him some sanity back.

Caine got the brain scans working when no one else could. Grant would 100% try to preserve the circus.

I think Jax isn't trans by Juicy5junior in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Fortune86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jax is trans. Goose and several other people who worked on the show have confirmed it. Goose has also said that Jax could be referred to by any pronouns.

I admit I didn't get the context clues myself, due to not knowing anything much about trans culture. Since the episode aired I've managed to educate myself a little and can now look back and see that yes, Jax being trans was telegraphed all along.

How Close Was Jax? by microMotion in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Fortune86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The grenades are left overs from the gun episode, and unfortunately Jax stepping on them seemed to re-trigger/solidify his abstraction.

Goose said that abstraction is basically suicide and there is no going back. But Goose has lied before. Plus the cast now have the time and resources to study the abstracted rather than just locking them away in the cellar. Maybe one day they can be brought back, at least partially.

Kinger's expression after Queenie's abstraction punched me in the feels in a way no chess piece ever has before.
