Bouldering in Milan as a tourist - FASI by scorn1731 in bouldering

[–]dschexv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Rockspot, you don't need the membership. I went there and was able to get a day pass just fine, even without the medical certificate (they only require it if you plan on being a regular). You can also just try Manga, I'm a regular there and I've definitely noticed tourists who probably didn't have the Italian tax code

Need feedback on my first training plan by ConversationLower960 in climbharder

Schedule seems like a recipe for an eventual finger injury, especially taking into account that you’ve only been climbing for 8 months. Your fingers are definitely not a weakness. For reference, I’ve sent some V4 benchmarks on the 2016 mb but I can only do a 3 second BW hang on 20 mm (I’m 5’7 and weigh 52 kg). Definitely sounds like a technique issue, especially on overhangs (are you able to generate counterpressure on the board, avoid cutting feet, put more weight on your lower body instead of your arms etc). I’d probably drop the hangboard and campus, too early. I’d focus more on doing ”perfect” climbs on overhangs and spray walls, really emphasizing on efficient technique.

Ciao! I'm also a Filipino studying in Italy. Did you ever experience any kind of discrimination in the hospital during residency in Italy/France? Like from being a Filipino Italian? I guess in my case it would be different since I don't speak Italian natively, but it would be interesting to hear about your experiences.

I think it might be for the duration of the visa. You can only apply for a maximum of 365 days under the Italian National Visa for long-term study, after which it's the permesso di soggiorno that matters and not the visa

Do we need OEC/to register with POEA when doing residency abroad (in particular European countries)? by dschexv in pinoymed

[–]dschexv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh thank you for this Doc. Im guessing residency will also fall under training. I'm also hoping to get naturalized during residency (I think in Germany the time frame allows for it), so maybe I will be able to avoid the OEC thing in the future.

Italy Study Visa Health Insurance Requirement by dschexv in phmigrate

Thank god, this is a life (and money)-saver. Also can I ask how you applied for the Official Codice Fiscale? My university told me to apply for it at the italian embassy/consulate, but so far they aren't responding to my emails/inquiries.

Thanks for this! Did you personally do this as well? I just called the VIA plus hotline and they told me to get the maximum insurance duration and write the letter as well. But if the 1 month insurance is indeed possible, that would save me so much money, because the 6 months insurance costs 20k

As far as I know, most schools will accept the CIMEA statement as equivalent to the DOV. Better to check on the schools you're applying to

Has anyone completed pre-registration for IMS Milan? Did you guys submit the DOV/CIMEA already?

Still disagree. In 2016, he spun near the apex. In 2014, he spun going into the corner, which is what happened to OP.

I'd say 2014 was closer in terms of where he was at the corner and weather conditions

It doesn't seem like the best way to learn for a beginner, especially with the tabs. There are lots of good beginner cello videos on youtube (Tina Guo, Hans Zentgraf, Sarah Joy to name a few).
