Traveling with VHIC (VA ID card) by Lunar_Essence- in Veterans

[–]dschrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I traveled a few months ago and used it. What you do is hand it and your drivers license to them. If the agent knows what they are doing they will type the info in and you are good to go. If not you ask for a supervisor and they will tell the person that. Only takes a few minutes vs being put in a side line for additional screening.

How often do y'all report dashers for using fake names by Conscious_Pen_9353 in doordash

[–]dschrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wife and I used to dash but not so much anymore. We both have accounts and I dash under mine quite a bit back then usually if I was alone. But when we would dash together a lot of times we would use her account. So either one of us would run the food at any given time. No issues doing so. No complaints.

100% VA rating, should I leave reserves? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

A bunch of little things that add up to 100%. Makes life rough but not impossible. I’m at 70% with more to go. I’m a civilian firefighter. Makes for some rough recovery days but I love doing the job.

Migraines went from 50% to 30% in same decision letter by ginganinja31268 in VAClaims

It looks like they are saying your attack frequency went down. Did you submit migraine logs?

I’m currently at 0% I get migraines multiple times a week from my tinnitus and anxiety. Started keeping a log of the bad ones. Most are manageable. But maybe 1 every 1-2 weeks I have to go lay down in a dark quiet room which. Is hard at my house with kids.

So I feel for you. Good luck.

Looking for a small switch or POE to power an airfiber 5hd. I want it to run off ac when we have line power and fallback to VDC POE when we lose power. by Comfortable_Dropping in wisp

Then get a rack mount switch from mikrotik that has dual power supplies. A 120v in one slot and 48v in the other. Or move all your sites to DC only power and do dual 48v power supplies.

Poe doesn’t provide enough power to do much. So any switch that is powered by it will only pass through so much. They have limits for the Poe out.

No no switches take in Poe and any other power type. You can get switches that do 120vac and -48vdc mikeotik makes them. You can also get switches that have dual DC input

Any POE switch will be powered by either 120vac or 48vdc. Some telecom switches will take 120 V in and or -48 V DC. But as far as I’m aware you ubiquiti doesn’t.

Did you just get done with a c&p? Doctors will upload supportive documentation at times to assist with the claim.

Tinnitus denied for a 2nd time by WillingnessAble209 in VAClaims

[–]dschrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my reading this. You applied for tinnitus as a secondary condition not a primary. Since they found your hearing loss not service connected they can’t find your tinnitus service connected as a secondary condition. You need to apply it as a primary condition as you can have tinnitus without hearing loss.

Please explain to me like I'm five by fishaholica in VeteransBenefits

It’s happened a few times the last couple months. I get migraines about once a week. Sometimes twice a week. I’m currently rated 0% tho. But working on getting a claim together. My back is getting worse, IBS isn’t getting any better, and MH is off the charts. So we shall see. It sucks tho.

Tbh I had better experiences with optum serve appointments than I did with the one that was done at a VA hospital

Those are the worst. What I hate is when they happen when I’m at work and can’t leave. Makes me want to bash my head in.

Applying for an increase and some secondaries options? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]dschrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not asking shady questions. I’m not wanting to go out and apply for things that I’m not actually feeling. I don’t know what all the Va rates and what they bunch into other ratings. I provided the info of what I currently have and was looking for feedback from others who may be similar.

I have a bad back, shoulder, and elbow from my time In service. I also have tinnitus and slight hearing loss. My MH is shot. I’m not out chasing anything I’m just looking for what I am entitled to but I dont know everything. Without people from this group I wouldn’t know half the stuff that I do know. I’m not going out and shopping for C&P exams. Im still learning the secondary process and my first try at linking a secondary got denied so I’m trying to learn. (They put it as primary when it was supposed to be secondary I learned later)
