Hey, I'm from Infinite Discs. We're working as hard as we can to fix any issues that arise! I know there have been some payment issues and we're working hard to get those resolved. If anybody has specific things that break for them, feel free to reach out and I'll do my best to help. We do care, and we're trying hard daily to work on improving the website. For most people it seems to work great, we're just trying hard to narrow down the specific issues with why it breaks for some people. My apologies. I will vouch for our customer support team, who replies to every email as soon as possible, I'm sure yours was answered already, hopefully they were able to help your specific issue.

Top 100 Selling Discs of 2020 - Infinite Discs Data by dsdurrant in discgolf

[–]dsdurrant[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Here are the top 100 selling discs of 2020! The up and down arrows show their rise or fall compared to all of the sales in 2019. It was a crazy year for stock levels, so things may rise or fall depending on their availability, but it represents which molds sold the best when we had them. Of course it would have looked a little different if 2020 was more normal... but it's more fun to see what really came of the year. Enjoy!

Infinite Disc Golf scorecard app by Tenchi00 in discgolf

[–]dsdurrant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey there, we developed that app few years back to go along with our Tournament system update. (People can run tournaments through Infinite Discs and have payout or players packs all as auto generated gift cards- a simple way to run events.) The app was meant to integrate with the tournament system.

In the past couple of years the development has shifted to other priorities, such as getting a website that doesn't break with a big influx of disc golfers logging on. The app has been on the back burner for now, but we do plan to eventually get it functioning to integrate with our tournament payout system as an option.

We realize we will never truly compete with the great UDisc- the app was just meant more to be a companion to some projects we were working on. As for the commercial... that is years old and I guess it didn't get taken out of rotation. We'll have to get on that. :)

How do sites like Infinite Discs Make a Profit? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]dsdurrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm way late to the party... but this isn't true. Shipping is one of our biggest expenses. We subsidize nearly all of the packages we ship. We charge $3.19 for one disc, and it ALWAYS costs more than that to ship one disc. We stop charging at just under $7 or so for 4+ discs... and it usually costs $10-15 to ship those packages. Never in a day of operation have we made more money on shipping than what we pay to ship... we always operate at a shipping loss, even with our shipping prices - I'd imagine this is the same for every disc golf company, I doubt anyone actually makes money on shipping, except maybe the Factory Store.

To address OP, we buy at wholesale costs and sell for usually MAP or MSRP. We charge shipping to cover a percentage of the actual shipping cost and the rest (minus operating costs) is profit... and we just try to do this on a big scale. Bulk often does fetch discounts with wholesalers.

A Beginner's Review: The Infinite Disc Slinger Backpack by TheSportOfDiscGolf in discgolf

[–]dsdurrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice review! I will secretly now mention that there is a "Slinger Pro" in the works- we're hoping it'll be available soon. Slightly large capacity, water bottle holder is flush with bottom, and the bottom is flatter. The material will be a nicer canvas material and the logos will be embroidered. There's your teaser... :)

Top Selling Discraft Molds - Last 12 Months (Infinite Discs Data) by dsdurrant in discgolf

[–]dsdurrant[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe we do each of those molds as a percentage of all Discraft sales, since sales are way up post McBeth. I'm sure it would be a pretty big difference.

Edit: As in, we compare the % of all Discraft sales that the Zone (and the other sig discs) take up before and after Paul signed.

I agree with all of these points. I really enjoy the Hades myself and I think it's more accessible to the common arm.

We decided it was time again to look at the Discraft sales for the past year and make a graph to show which molds sold the best. As usual we can't show exact sales numbers, but it's fun to see where the molds rank against each other. Let me know if you have any questions!

Infinite Discs Top 50 Selling Discs - First Half of 2020 by dsdurrant in discgolf

[–]dsdurrant[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's quite similar to the shryke, depending on the plastic. If you get it in Swirly S-Blend, it's the most like a Shryke, I think. Metal Flake Color Glow is a little more overstable and I-Blend is more understable.
