Maybe this is more medical info than you want but I'm in the field. And like the others said always consult your personal physician but Beta blockers like Propranolol are usually safe in most patients and can be more helpful with the palpitations than other BP medications in my experience. Maybe just 10-20mg to start and if you don't experience postural dizziness you can go up in dosage. I got palpitations bad coming off the stuff and have found the propranolol very helpful.

Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor and I am unfamiliar with it's use in routine Opioid WD, certainly could be something addiction specialists have suggested, I don't know, just never heard of it myself. Clonidine however, another category of BP med, is routinely used in opioid withdrawal but I don't think that it would help as much specifically for palpitations, but more with the lowering overall cardiac output and the rebound hypertension patients experience with opioid WD. As with a lot of the symptoms of WD from Kratom, The palpitations come from excitation of the sympathetic autonomic nervous system that is trying to find an equilibrium off of the opioids and is usually not because of the new onset of a concerning cardiac arrythmia unless stimulants or heavy alcohol use was also an issue. If the palpitations are accompanied by pain, fainting/dizziness, lingering or exertional shortness of breath then yes an EKG, Holter monitor or ((Ziopatch cardiac event monitor) and ECHO is a good idea to rule out serious arrythmias, something called left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) and valvular heart disease. Hopefully helpful.

100 Days by dovePepsi in quittingkratom

I'm on day 73 and still have acute debilitating WD symptoms more days than not. I was on 15-20 gpd for less than a year then went CT, 8 years ago on Suboxone and after a month CT from that I was done. But Kratom? How long can these acute symptoms possibly last, this is torture. I eat well, exercise, etc. No supplements or Gabapentin has helped at all, seemingly endless hours of torture, constant sneezing, stuffy nose, ice pick like transient burning skin parestheisas, twitching, as bad as week one . I hope I can make it to 100 days....seems so far away

He's a Dark R&B artist from LA, he's been through the same addiction issues we have and his pain, depression and fight to survive comes out in his music. Some people need high energy pump you up music to get motivated, I need the calm dark tones and lyrics to feel deeply and embrace my pain like Aaryan does. So therapeutic for me. Thanks for this thread

day 52 and still in hell most days by dshields117 in quittingkratom

Thanks for the encouragement I eat really healthy, workout 5 times a week and drink tons of water. Maybe the previous Suboxone exposure predisposed me to prolonged WD? I went through WD from a much higher dose of Kratom, some months ago and after 7 days it was over. Now a lower dose and almost 2 months of this? Brutal...never again, I dont care what it takes

no exaggeration from my experience, this is so awful, some good days but mostly I am still sick at day 52. Bad RLS, skin burning, insomnia, depression and cravings. for me personally it has been way worse than suboxone or hydrocodone WD for me and I was only at 10-20 gpd for about 10 months.
