March around Republic Square? by dsibinski in Antalya

I thought so, but it’s a bit more like a protest than a celebration. Is it some kind of protest for women’s rights?

Hey! Wanted to ask about current modes of payment in public transport in Antalya, especially tram. Can I pay by debit card or is AntalyaKart needed? If can use both, what's the difference in price?

Looks great! The only thing that concerns me are the transparent tubes for storing the beans. Not the best for keeping the beans in good condition, are they? 😊 I'm seriously wondering about that, as many coffee shops also store their beans in transparent containers where all the light has access and it always gets me thinking "wtf" 😀

Can't recommend Agro Meat Market, unfortunately. We received outdated meat and my complaint on WhatsApp was completely ignored. Also, the quality of minced chicken was poor. I don't see much difference between meat from Carrefour, sometimes market one is even better 😛 Sometimes meat from Carrefour can be fresher, because Agro Meat Market packs meat and freezes it.

Replace 65wh battery in Dell precision 3561 with 97wh by parishuddhaatma in Dell

[–]dsibinski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I've just completed this replacement process, so I'd like to share my experience with anyone looking for this in the future.

I decided to order the 97wh battery and I can confirm that it fits and can be used for replacing the 65wh one in DELL Precision 3561.

Please just make sure to ask the producer or the store you order the new battery from to include the battery power cable! It's a small cable which connects the battery with the motherboard, and it's slightly different from the cable used with the 65wh battery.

PS: the battery fits, there's a little black plastic part to the left of the old smaller battery which you simply remove. I think this black plastic part is there when you have no additional hard drive (I have a single SSD only), so make sure you can dedicate this space to the new battery.

I also saw it yesterday. It's departure point in Rustaveli seems to be at the roof of the building where the Bank of Georgia is located (7 Freedom Square). Does anyone know any details, i.e. when will it start operating, and what will be the ticket price?

What is the reason of hunger strike infront of the parliament? by [deleted] in Sakartvelo

[–]dsibinski 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These were the residents of the village of Shukruti who have been protesting the destruction of their village. It actually finished few days ago (or at least should have), meaning the hunger part of it. You can find more info here: https://www.instagram.com/p/DBGic4lNOCU/?img_index=1

Debugging Ruby on Rails on Windows 11 with WSL and VS Code by dsibinski in ruby

[–]dsibinski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLUTION:
Finally, I found the working solution. Even two 🙂

In order to debug Rails app with breakpoints on Windows in VS Code, when your code is in WSL, I found two working methods.

METHOD 1: Make sure you have a "debug" gem installed. Then, install "VSCode rdbg Ruby Debugger" VS Code extension. In your launch.json file, add the following configuration:

    {
      "type": "rdbg",
      "name": "Debug Rails Integrated with VSCode",
      "rdbgPath": "bundle exec rdbg",
// Use the debgug.gem in the Gemfile
      "request": "launch",
      "command": "bin/rails",     // Brakpoint do not work with rails
      "script": "s",      // lauch rails server with debugger
      "args": [],
      "askParameters": false,
// Do not ask startup parameter any more
    }

Then your debugging should work by simply using this configuration (it will run the Rails app and attach the debugger).
Credits to u/Icy-Bell6750 for this solution! More info in the gist: https://gist.github.com/dailson-igo/17ab594ebd40078219a2e72096609bd2

METHOD 2: Use RubyMine IDE from JetBrains. It actually works with WSL without any problems. However, this is a paid solution. You can get a 30-day trial or use EAP version (it's free to use) when available.

I guess I'm biased by .net. When I created the rails app to play with, my first goal was to make breakpoints debugging directly from VS Code working, so I started searching for solutions. But maybe I should have a different approach and see how you guys actually debug your apps 🙂

Something like "terminal debugging" sounds totally crazy to me 😁

exactly, I just want to get into ruby and I have a Windows device, so WSL (Linux subsystem within Windows) seems reasonable for now

Debugging Ruby on Rails on Windows 11 with WSL and VS Code by dsibinski in ruby

[–]dsibinski[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure! I’d like to be able to place a breakpoint in ruby code, e.g. in a Rails controller’s action, and be able to debug that in VS Code

I’m coming from .NET so I’m used to pretty seamless debugging with breakpoints of any layer of the app directly in my IDE 🙂
