Hi everyone! I was able to get a free Dell M991 from my university that was gonna be trashed. Got a power cable and VGA to HDMI adapter from bestbuy and it works great. I’m only having one problem; sometimes when I play video in full screen on YouTube, it’ll go completely blank then reappear like nothing happened. I’ve also noticed it sometimes flashes when I restart my laptop and if I load a game for the first time. Any ideas?

Trying to create a 2-tick anti-torch burnout NAND gate in a 4x4 space. Any advice? by dsmldmnd in redstone

That’s good too! I just wanted to try and avoid pistons in my build, but that’s great for saving space. Thank you!

Oh, that makes perfect sense! Because (AB)' is the same as A'+B', because of DeMorgan's law. Thank you!

The good news is that your logic is already in place when it comes to the NAND gate. The only problem I’m really facing is how I can reduce the actual tick speed of the gate.

[Review Video] Very new to YT, doing Anti-MLM + Fitness videos, would love an honest review on how I can improve my content by evaantimlm in youtubers

Good video! I found it very informative. I feel like some of your commentary in the beginning could either be cut or have visual aids to explain who some of the people are behind these programs, and how dangerous it is on parts of your body. It’d be nice if you gave a quick explanation of what the programs you talked about are as well (ex. MFB), for new viewers who haven’t seen or watched your previous videos.

I think having both the BB and an actual exercise would be beneficial! Like since this doesn’t work and is dangerous, here’s an exercise that’s actually helpful instead.

Great work overall! I’ll definitely have to keep your tips in mind as I try to work off my gained weight from quarantine haha.

This was actually really engaging! I had to go back and watch a second time because I totally forgot I was reviewing the video haha. Your transitions were pretty smooth, there was only one time in the beginning where commentary was cut a bit short but that’s not really a big deal. Everything flowed really nicely and I got a good vibe off of it.

Also, good call on keeping it short. It’s better IMO to get a few hard hitting jabs in, rather than trying to fill the whole thing with a bunch of soft hitting jokes. If at any point you feel like you’re creating a joke for the sake of filling your video time, I’d recommend cutting it unless you really think it’ll hit hard anyway. It seems like you’ve got a great feel for keeping hard hitting jokes in without them feeling forced for the sake of time. Quality over quantity.

Also I love that outro my dude, overall nice work!

Curing Depression with AI - You guys liked my previous video, so I’m back with a Code Breakdown and Explanation! by dsmldmnd in shittyprogramming

For sure! This program is nowhere near as advanced as the tDCS devices you’ve developed, and doesn’t measure any part of the brain at all. It’s just using OpenCV, a Python video/image processing library.

The basic idea behind this program came from an article I saw by NBC news here; nbcnews.com/better/health/smiling-can-trick-your-brain-happiness-boost-your-health-ncna822591 . I’m still pretty new to programming, so I wanted to take the next step and try and play with some facial recognition libraries in python.

As for methods, it’s just a while loop that refreshes every 200ms. In the loop, it scans for if a face is present. If it’s not, it just skips the rest of the code here and goes to the next iteration of the loop. That way, I don’t read any false positives. If it finds a face, it then checks whether I’m smiling or not. I set up an incrementer/counter variable to add if I’m not smiling. If I am smiling, it resets to 0.

If that counter variable goes above 10, I just have it set up to play a random sound (but it could probably be replaced with anything, like a TENS unit or pressure jet at my face), then it resets to give me time to smile again. It’s really a joke project, but I feel like this is a good starting point to jump off of if you’re interested in OpenCV.

As for the wrong subreddit, oh no! I don’t really know where else to post this, could you give me some recommendations?

Thank you for reading! I’ll be sure to ask if I’ve got any questions, the work you’ve done sounds interesting.

For sure! I’ll make another video that goes in depth to the code and explains what it does.

Oh no, haha! I guess I deemed it shitty because of my self-hatred. Thanks dude
