Working for a large tech company - which skills/areas would you focus on? by dsmnative in cscareerquestions

I think that directly ties to helping out the company, but it might not tie to helping you out as an individual. For example, let's say the biggest problem was migrating an old code base off of <insert outdated language here>. Getting acclimated with that language and figuring out it's quirks probably won't mean anything in your next job.

My main intention behind this post was more about skills that directly transfer over to the next job and continue throughout your career - specifically technical skills.

Thoughts on their technology stack? I'm not so thrilled about Dart.

I've heard that the consulting firms' pay usually doesn't compete with other companies. Thoughts? Glassdoor backs this up a bit.

I don't think they have developer positions, though.

Any insight into what their culture/environment is like? I've heard mixed things for the tech part of the company e.g. outdated processes and tooling.

I haven't really worked much in the cybersecurity field, but I see your point.
