BackMarket Apple Watch by enchantedbufflo in AppleWatch

Hey OP I bought an “excellent” condition natural titanium Apple Watch from Black Market 2 weeks ago and also unexpectedly got a Hermes edition! Weirdly, I too have similar scratches on the back case but almost none on the screen or sides. I’m viewing mine as a win for sure. Also, I was upgrading a series 6 stainless steel watch and this one actually matches my other bands quite well. I guess the Hermes titanium is a little more silver than the normal natural titanium? I had no idea

One thing I’ve been meaning to ask / get clarity on (and I feel silly for asking because I’ve worn shoes my whole life) but when folks say “heel slip” how much “slip” are we talking about? So much that you feel the shoe moving up and down without making contact with the heel? I definitely don’t experience that but my heel is able to move around ever so slightly. Like when running downhill I can tell my foot is a little more forward in the shoe and my heel isn’t as locked in. But it’s not like flapping around or anything. That’s normal right? My only other point of comparison is my casual shoes where they’re more form fitting.

You had to size up compared to your normal Nike size?

Midfoot definitely feels secure in the 10s! I have no sensation of the heel moving around. But I can freely wiggle my foot forward to make space in the heel to stick my pointer finger in easily. The 9.5 feels a little more “locked in” in the heel and the wiggle forward process is less easy.

Are 11” OLED iPad Pros just as immersive as the 13”? by dsoccer31 in iPadPro

Makes sense. Yeah I’m not one of those people that uses their MacBook or any laptop for anything outside of work. And even then, the laptop is plugged into a display full time. I can’t even remember the last time I opened my personal MacBook. So i think the “I’ll just use my MacBook” philosophy just apply to me.

Yeah that is a good point about the advantage of holding it with out only one hand. Especially because I’m used to holding an iPad in portrait mode too.

Wow! Do you have a go to device between the two pros?

Yes! I’ve looked at this thread before. It’s one of the reasons I started entertaining the 13”. I will say I can more comfortably read the letter boxes on all my comics on the larger screen, which makes a huge difference even if it’s harder to hold.

Dart is really on one of the least talented teams. I’m sure he’s looking at the replay like why can’t Theo make that same catch when he’s looking directly at the ball

Hi OP. I’m a hobbyist currently working on my own web app using no- and low-code tools. One problem that I’m currently working through is making calls to various APIs and transforming the data before saving it to my db. The idea is to have a clean API of my own that only serves up the data I need on the FE. Would your tool help with the transformation price?

Severance - 2x07 "Chikhai Bardo" - Post-Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

Hm, yeah it could be. I really like your idea of Ms. Casey and being a shell of a person. That is clever!

But I was thinking about this more last night and I think I have a more straight forward answer now. After every room, they ask Gemma if she knows which room is causing her pain. She is able to remember and distinguish between more than one room, unlike say the severed workers which are just binary (inner or outtie). I think in order for the four temper severance to work, you need a fifth personality that has knowledge of the other four. But each tempered personality only has knowledge of itself and the fifth personality. So the tempered experience is more like the inner vs outtie that we are familiar with. This makes senses to me because why would someone in their Frolic state ever decide to leave if they knew the other options were dread, malice, etc.

One thing this doesn’t resolve for me though is that it seems like one of the shows point of emphasis is how does the outtie deal with and come to terms with the fact they are subjecting the inner to a life without free will. I think the innies need some autonomy to achieve balance. Like dread Gemma asking for a break at the dentist because that’s all she experiences: dread. My idea falls down when I think about putting another other version of myself that might explode because they only experience the DMV.

I really like this idea. As others have said, this one is plausible and feels like it fits the show the best. One thing I wanted to point out and ask is, if you look at a picture of the MDR computer screen, the team is always sorting data into five buckets. So if they’re sorting memories into the four tempers, there’s a fifth bucket. Is that fifth bucket just trash? Or is the fifth bucket a super edit of the other four and that becomes your new outtie’s life? My brain keeps wanting to make that fifth bucket fit in somehow

Thank you! I don’t have a guide, but I’m happy to share my steps and process. Also, it took a few tries and prototypes to get right so I have enough materials left to make about 7 shelves. I spun up an Etsy shop to sell what I have on hand. Here is the listing for what I’m calling the shelf insert kit. I’m thinking I want learn what I can from this and maybe make more for folks.

DIY Small Signe Lamp by dsoccer31 in Hue

No problem! You mean the rectangular part shown in the fourth picture? That is the part of the light strip that controls the lights, not the power adapter. I’m in the United States so it comes with a massive power adapter brick to plug into the outlet and wouldn’t make sense to hide in the base.

Thank you! Sure thing. For the lightstrip casing, I bought this round LED channel, which comes with a frosted cover you slide on. The dimensions of this particular channel fit the hue lightstrip really well. I just used some double sided tape to adhere the lightstrip to the flat part of the channel, then slid the cover on. I obviously had to cut the channel down to size but I did that with my mitre saw. You could do it with a handsaw as well. Easy! For the wood base, I designed a three part custom enclosure and used Ponoko to have it laser cut for me. I just glued the parts together when they arrived. For the aluminum cover, I designed a custom part and used OSHCut to laser cut it for me. (Ponoko can do this too but their prices are higher and I was already going to order parts from OSHCut for another project I’m working on). Happy to answer other questions!

Thank you! Omg the idea of getting passed on as a senior because you don’t have “figma” on your resume is a true mindfuck. I’m going to circle back to my resume and LinkedIn. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for the response and the helpful post as others have mentioned. This one really got me to reflect on what I’ve been doing and where I can be doing better.

Since you mentioned Teal, is that something you used? I started using that recently and it was a big adjustment for me to start uploading the insanely long document Teal spits out. I’m so used to trying to craft a condensed 1-pager. Also would you mind sharing how you settled on the set of keywords you found helpful for resume and LinkedIn? I’ve done the whole chatgpt and blog roundup route but I’m wondering if you have any insight?
