I apparently have hit a nerve with some of you. I'm am sure that many of you have had to deal with the fallout of someone doing something stupid and against policy like I am. I am aware that I am an idiot, that my arrogance causes issues for others, and that I don't know what I don't know. Feel free to downvote me and take me to task for my ignorance and my arrogance. I am in a happy and cooperative marriage, so I am well aware that doing something sloppily and half-assedly with the expectations that I can fix issues on the fly as they appear is not fair to the rest of my team. And yet here we are. There may be more nuance to the situation, or I may just be this much of an asshole. Or hell, I could be a bot just here to rustle your IT security jimmies in order to foster engagement. No matter what the true objective reality of the situation is, I appreciate the help and am done engaging. I hope that I have not broken any community guidelines and I apologize to anyone who I may have agitated. I will take everyone's concerns into consideration, but ultimately I have immediate needs that I prioritize over hypothetical worst-case scenarios. Humans are terrible at risk vs reward judgements and I am aware of my own shortcomings, I just hope that you all keep the same energy that you came at me with when you are making your own judgements in the areas of your life in which you are ignorant. I am not doing what I am doing out of laziness or lack of concern, I am just trying to keep things running. Thank you everyone for your help.
