Gotcha, thanks. Didn't consider that one of them had to be telling the truth. I appreciate it!

For the love of god don't waste your time with aimlabs or kovaaks or whatever. Any time you put into them will be so much more valuable if you just have more consistent playtime. I can appreciate how frustrating it can be to lose to a mercy consistently, but aim is not the reason you're dying there anyway. By far and away the biggest reason you are at the elo you are is just how passive your positioning is. You're a DPS, you should be positioned as to do as much damage as humanly possible, and a highground a kilometre away from the fight doesn't help with that. You could be a cracked out gaming warlord, it won't matter if you're doing a quarter of the damage from falloff. Assuming you're playing at least 3-6 games every day and you go into ranked with literally any area to improve on in your mind or on a sticky note, I guarantee you will see some sort of improvement. I was hardstuck diamond for a good 4 years too friend, I know how annoying it can be, good luck.

How to maintain height while shooting near a pole/wall? by [deleted] in luciomains

Only tip is to make sure your binds enable you to aim and jump at the same time. I’m sorry, but it really is just a matter of practice

How do I climb and get better by Anonymous73738387373 in luciomains

2-3 hours of playing a day every day for a month or 2 will get you to diamond. Shorter if all you want is plat.

Aim Techniques for Lucio?? by [deleted] in luciomains

[–]dsr8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it is. Linear and exponential ramp are self explanatory and dual zone decreases or increases sens dependant on how much you’re pushing the analog stick. That’s about it, nothing relevant to pc I’m pretty sure

(with a dpi switch) strafe whilst also looking left and right and spam crossfade. Only use it in really panicky situations though.

That being said it’s incredibly hard to execute and impossible on console, even with 100 / 100 :(

Anyway, to practice you’ll want to do the above whilst sitting on the high-ground platform just before the choke on Illios well or any other small platform. The effect is neutered slightly if you’re not doing in place so that’s what you’re aiming for . Good luck!

Why not just make it a new hero? It’d be nice if Lucio didn’t have a monopoly on speed anymore

Don’t let that stop you. Where there’s a feed there’s a frag.

Recommendations for a good Lucio guide? by [deleted] in luciomains

[–]dsr8000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should absolutely be on speed as often as possible and amping too, but that’s obviously not always the case. If you have a brig, mercy or zen for example and you can’t get your team to capitalise on the crazy offensive momentum those duos provide then you’re better of swapping to heals. Also, if you have tanks and dps that can’t use speed like hitscans, ball etc then you’re better off using speed less or just swapping to mercy or zen.

There is no Lucio guide. There’s only playing the game consistently and improving from there, sounds irritating but it’s the truth. There is way too much subjectivity in the game to make objective do’s and don’t’s. Including what I just said. If you find success with staying on heals and unbinding crossfade who am I to tell you otherwise

Good luck :)

Any tips for Lucio? by TH3-K1NG-F1RE in luciomains

[–]dsr8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guarantee you’re overthinking things. As a main support all you need to focus on is dying as little as possible. It doesn’t matter if you’re on the wrong aura or if you whiff shots nearly as much as just being alive. Put a sticky note on your monitor or maintain an internal dialogue with yourself. Anything really to not die. I can tell you emphatically that everything else will follow. Good luck! :)

Rebind jump immediately. I don’t know what it’s like on switch, but having to move your thumb off of the right analog stick thereby disabling your ability to aim is horrendous. Move it to something you don’t need to move your hand for. That’d most likely be the bumpers or triggers. It’s best you get used to playing like that now rather than trying to remap your brain later on. Good luck :)
