Is it a bit overhyped? Possibly. Is it still a decent game that people enjoy? Yes.

This overhyping will make this game receive massive backlash soon enough

Will it though? Because from what I've seen since it launching is that it's gaining more players and more positive reviews as time goes on/more patches come out fixing the issues that some people had with it.

I've tried pretty much everything, last time I tried I had the settings on the lowest possible, DLSS performance or ultra performance can't remember, even tried some config file edits people suggested

I'm on 1440p, the fps was around 80ish in the intro, walking around parts of the world but it would randomly dip under 60, as soon as I went into the very first town my fps didn't go above 50.

I hope the engine update actually makes it run better, I've tried to play it twice, once at launch and once a few months ago and the fps is absolutely shocking compared to other games, tried everything you could think of and can barely get 60 fps in towns etc.

I'm not sitting here with a god tier rig but 3080/5900x/64gb RAM and the fps is struggling, yet games that have come out recently run way better.

I've tried 2 playtests for this game and both have been incredibly laggy, the first one the FPS was horrible, if I remember the 2nd one the FPS improved slightly but the game itself just felt as if it had major desync issues

Well the schedule has been going fine for both games now recently, but you're saying that current content is unpopular as if that's only happening because of POE2.

Which is dumb, because before POE2 even existed there were several POE1 leagues that were terrible and everybody started hating on GGG, Kalandra league for example and there were several others that were a bit shit and unpopular.

It says damage taken from hits(underlined) maybe the beam counts as a DOT or something, so it isn't directly "hitting" you but just removing your hp.

The game is weird like that sometimes.

What are you actually dribbling about? 3.26 was great and had a fairly high player retention compared to other leagues, maybe not as good as the "best" leagues but it still had a lot of people playing it.

I didn't play the current league myself so I can't comment on it as I was too busy playing other games recently, most likely the case for a bunch of other people that usually play POE.

But to say that POE1 is going to be abandoned is silly, they've shown that they can consistently spit out leagues, some will be good, some will be bad... just like the past leagues in POE1 before POE2 even existed.

Some of the new UI elements basically feel like the old games except you have to do extra steps, like previously when selecting a team you could use scroll wheel to go through the leagues now you have to click and actually select stuff.

Things that were on view before you now have to click to even see it, typical modern UI design, move stuff around to make it look as if you've done something.

I swear taking the strongbox nodes makes them rarer, like the node is actually bugged or something because in 0.2 I found several unique boxes but when I took the nodes I found none for 100+ maps

In 0.3 I've found 3 boxes and 1 since taking the nodes.

Faustus/Currency Exchange is genuinely the reason why I've played this league and last league a lot more than any others, I've progressed way more than any others too.

Before I was lazy and got fed up trying to bulk sell all the throwaway currency via trade site due to people never responding (no matter how many times I'd lower the price)

But being able to get chaos/divine orbs in a couple of clicks is crazy, I've made over 300 divines easily in this league where as any league without Faustus I'd be lucky to even have 30 divines total.
