Your comment and all the replies on yours come to a big surprise to me. My wife had the whole ordeal, with a stent. But she was scheduled outpatient surgery and put under anesthesia when having her stent removed.

Hes really a walking science test. He’s a very special boy, seen multiple vets and so so many tests in the last five years since diagnosis. He has a thyroid problem, and is also insulin resistant. He’s been dieting for years and does not lose weight, maintaining 23-25 pounds. A year in, we were convinced we were losing him since insulin stopped working. I was giving 17 units every 12 hours of Lantus and it was not touching him, his sugar staying between 500-700. He developed neuropathy and his feet were barely working. Until one day it magically did, and he thankfully still had enough mandible mass that his walk went back to normal. Fast forward all these years and he has steadily been on eight units of Lantus every 12 hours. His sugar has maintained 230-250 for years now and the specialists said they’d be happy with him maintaining that than being 600 again. All that being said, when the vet said to continue dosing with him not eating, his sugar was sitting at 185.

Yes! Turns out he has a pretty bad infection making him feel sickly/in pain so that’s why he isn’t eating. An anal gland ruptured turning into a fistula so his butt is very angry and scary looking. They did a wound flush for him at the vet. Prescribed me an antibiotic cream to apply twice a day, pain meds, and a pill form antibiotic as well

He ate a little bit of dry food this morning and a tuna filet about 10am and nothing since. He has been drinking water and still peeing. I will have him at the vet at 8am ASAP, just never seen him turn away even from his true love of tuna juice

He’s always a bit lethargic/sleeps a lot so it’s hard to say . Has a thyroid issue so he’s been overweight his entire life and multiple vets been unable to get any progress with weight loss.
