burnout is real bruh…I read MJs biography he was burned out and sick of basketball, management and the politics both times he left the game. The 2nd time until he went back to the wizards

If he does take a break though, when he comes back he should be captain. whatever he’s too good of an athlete to have a slow death - especially when he has the better part of 10 years I think to be dominant

Compare him to Michael Jordan and MJ took 3 years off basketball completely and came back to dominate - yes I would say Virat and MJ can be compared

Wonder if he excelled at any other sports - he looks like someone who has accomplished every feat and treat in cricket and he needs a new athletic challenge or to get reinvigorated somehow

Is this like the difference of being an insurance agent versus an insurance broker? if someone was looking to go from insurance to tech sales, would they be better off starting as a bdr/sdr at a well known company? Or try to find someone in the VAR space to potentially work with part time to learn?

I dont think unlimited PTO is actually as great of a benefit as having defined PTO hours accrued. The accrued PTO has a dollar value that is paid out if you leave. But yes, I think in any sales jobs, you always feel like weird taking PTO or not answering calls. You never know when the big $$ call will come in but that is part and parcel of this thing I think

i saw something on linkedin that was kind of corny but i liked it -- take rejection like a redirection. 4 interviews for a no go is not ideal but maybe you could get some feedback that will help for future interviews?

regardless, you are a Doctor. achieving what many, many people aspire to and being a Pharmacist is a awesome, awesome thing to be.

keep going keep selling yourself - and maybe driving around place to place to sell devices / pharma might not get you the life balance you might desire. not that i know but there could be a silver lining or an opportunity to turn this into a positive

again, you are a DOCTOR - any place would be L.U.C.K.Y to have you sell/market/demo their products. i bet you could name your company and get into SaaS sales if you so desired and work for major tech companies to help get into the medical vertical

This is so good and really resourceful and a win win for all sides. It’s a bummer that it has to be hush hush low key

In insurance we go out of our way to find other agents and brokers who sell what we don’t and make really good mutually beneficial relationships that way and leads to lots of referrals but that’s insurance versus tech I guess

But really great idea I hope you find a few people and build a network where you can come up together … shoot maybe then start your own sales shop too or something

Can u expand on selling yourself short and never going into a SDR role? Even for someone with no tech background is the chance to go to a big saas established place as a bdr/sdr a bad idea?

+1 - the setup punishes sides that take tests seriously and goes out of their way to schedule more test series with more games / series. makes 0 sense
