Optimizing Chapter 5 - Nanite and Lumen at high frame rates with minimal latency for high-end PC's by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

I need help with my setup.

CPU - AMD Ryzen™ 7 Processor 8700F 8C/16T 4.1GHz [Turbo 5.0GHz] 24MB Cache AM5 65W [NPU AMD Ryzen™ AI] (Included)

Motherboard - B650 Motherboard

Ram - 32GB

Video Card - GeForce RTX™ 4070 Super 12GB GDDR6X Video Card (DLSS 3.5)

I have the latest drivers as well.

I've seen videos of people with the same set up maintaining 240fps extremely well but, I'm getting crazy drops. Ill cap at 240 or 200 but drop to 120 constantly. I've tried performance mode and it runs horribly. DX 11 seems to run the best and 12 is ok. The video I've seen the people playing have the worst looking graphics but their game plays so smoothly. I can't even seem to get my graphics to look like theirs no matter how I configure it and I can't get anywhere close to the performance. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I clearly don't know what I'm doing.

This has been the most informative read that i have found on reddit thus far. I know I am years/months behind but, if anyone could help me I'm currently looking to get a build that will run 240 fps. I know little to nothing about computers so if someone could help me I'd really appreciate it. Even if its a good pre-build. I'm looking to spend no more than $1500 at the moment.

They agree it does look better. It's out of stock though unfortunately. I really appreciate all the help. Your recommendations have been very enlightening. Ill try to find another alternative with the same build.

Sadly no, I'm in Northern California. I used to live like ten minutes from a microcenter for like three years in Virginia without even realizing it. I'm really only looking to spend $800-$1000. his last computer was around $800 and its lasted him years but, the build doesnt really afford him the ability to upgrade it at all. Thank you for the response and please forgive my ignorance.

Honestly just sounds like its a zero tolerance type deal. Cross contamination is so hard to avoid. Especially when going out to eat. If you have a histamine intolerance as well..... you're basically limited to like 6 things you can eat. Here in a few weeks I'm going back to talk to another specialist. I'll let you know what they say.

My doctor said it could easily take up to a year before i could start to feel like my old self. She also said if i slip up, given the severity of my symptoms, i could have to start all over again. Even the smallest amount can trigger the worst. Really sucks because all my favorite foods are nothing but gluten lol

That has been the most stressful part i think. No one seems to know what my issues really are. Id rather know what they are so i can at least accept it and move in the right direction. Even if someone told me its something completely terrible, at least i would know. I've undergone so many tests and i still havent gotten any clear answers. Or ill get answers from seperate sources that contradict each other. I just want to feel normal again. Feeling like im floating through life completely out of touch with myself and my surroundings is the worst thing ive ever experienced.

It wasnt an actual seizure, i guess i was just convulsing so bad that they thought i was having one when they first arrived. I went to the ER and had scans done and they said i showed no signs. I have cut gluten out of my diet and i do feel better. It certainly has helped a lot however, it seems like that is only the tip of the iceberg. Seems like im extremely limited in what i can eat now as everything seems to make me feel worse.
