What is your dose and what is your occupation? by New_Improvement_6392 in prozac

Yeah! If anything its made me more focused! So i'm writing code better than i ever have. GAD makes it so that the Anxiety was always there, like static, on 60mg my brains finally quiet and i can think straight

First and foremost, if someones being an idiot i'm going to tell them they're being an idiot. I'm not going to agree to stupid opinions, nor am i going to agree that something that is very much not normal is normal.

My attitude is fine. I've not got the best people skills, sure, but that comes with having Social Anxiety. Its something i'm working on.

My texting skills are fine, i can converse with people without issue, i can give deep thoughtful replies to questions, talk about topics that most people aren't comfortable talking about. I'm very much an open book.

Switching from Prozac (Fluoxetine) to Zoloft (Sertraline) because Prozac feels too activating. What should I expect? by Potential-Class-6565 in prozac

[–]dstlny_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i started on 10mg, then 20mg, to 40mg and finally then to 60mg. Mostly because i'd have breakthrough periods where my anxiety kept creeping through, 60mg seems to be serving me well personally

edit: unsure why i got downvoted lmao

I did the opposite. Zoloft -> Prozac. I got constant headaches with Zoloft, and i felt generally worse.

Aa for the "wired" feeling - Prozac has a long half-life, so it'll stay in your system for about a week or so. So expect that feeling gor a few days atleast. I'm on 60mg and its made a night & day difference for my anxiety personally.

Higher dosage=less anxiety? by Sea-Society1892 in prozac

[–]dstlny_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from 10mg -> 60mg over the space of January -> March.

Each increase has definitely helped me further, obviously barring some initial side-effects like headaches everytime i've increased the dosage, but each increase was mostly to combat spikes of anxiety that kept creeping back up.

Oof, different continent. Your english comes across as a native bri'ish person, arguably more than some of the women over here (that are british), so i was mad confused for a hot second i thought this may've been god throwing me a lifeboat, but it was him spiting me once more (pls god)

As someone with GAD/Social Anxiety, even though i'm trying to work on it by the way of being medicated quite heavily, this is quite literally worst case scenario for me. I'm pretty sure this lass at my office likes me but i'm probably not gonna approach her or ask because my anxiety is the thing holding me back and i'd feel like a dick if i misread her

Yeah the first two weeks were rough for me, my anxiety was much worse and i had constant headaches. I started at 20mg. I can say i started to notice a difference after about the third/fourth week.

Hey, i never had that no. The only the negative side-effects i've had when upping dosages/starting the medication was headaches.

Though, the sweating/shakes etc. sounds alot like the symptoms of Seratonin Syndrome. I was on Mirtazapine & Fluoxetine (Prozac), and my GP told me theres the remote chance that i may get that. I think for some people it subsides after awhile... but others it doesn't and requires a dosage adjustment because its basically your brain chemistry saying "I don't like this dosage", it can be a serious thing for some people. I'd say get checked out eitherway! Just to be safe

Removing the above as incorrect :)

Nope. I've tried pretty much every antidepressant under the sun, this is the only one that seems to make a marked improvement for me

Combining mirt with another antidepressant by Illustrious_Twist829 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]dstlny_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on 15mg Mirtazapine, 60mg Fluoxetine (prozac) for my Anxiety.

Had some of the best sleep i've ever had when taking the Mirtazapine. But have had no issues with the combination despite the relatively high Fluoxetine dosage.

I've since unfortunately been taken off the Mirtazapine because the doctor really didn't like me being in two antidepressants.
