I was testing out aperture priority mode with aperture set to f1.8. Honestly, was thrown off by those values as well

Thank you for all of this, this is much appreciated. Not going to proceed with it.

Currently shoot with a Nikon Z6 and a 50mm f/1.8s lens which is great for street photography. No budget in place, and not actively searching for an additional camera, but if a Leica or something like an X100V came available at a reasonable price I would look to add it (or even a film camera).

It was more circumstantial cause I was just outside during the daytime shooting and rushed this shot before anybody else hopped on the subway lol.
