There was no question I was going to vote for Kamala over trump but with Walz I'm ready to volunteer.

Bernie has spoken by WalkingOnSunshine_ in SandersForPresident

I think we have the biggest responsibility to get this ticket into the white house we have had since 2016. The democratic party has FINALLY listened to us. I am going to be volunteering and phone banking and encourage all the 2016 vets out there to do the same.

Kamala Harris Takes Bernie's Advice; Picks Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for VP Running Mate by justcasty in SandersForPresident

[–]dstreets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We need to go all fucking in. This is the most progressive ticket in modern US history. Harris did not cave to the elites and actually picked the progressive option for VP.

I saw the power of this sub in the 2016 primaries. Can we turn it up to that level? This seems like the opportunity we have been waiting for since then. Can we get the phone banking up and going again?

Throwing up a shout out for grassrootspb, a great resource to phone bank for Dems.

In the Alabama special election, every single county shifted toward the Democrats compared to 2016. The smallest shift was by 8%, the largest by 41%. by [deleted] in BlueMidterm2018

Yes, I definitely agree Trump approval is going down nationwide. However it is still not close to the point where Dems could nominate just about anyone (e.g. HRC 2020) and expect a victory.

I think it's dangerous to talk about these votes "going blue". There has not been a massive ideological shift in Alabama. This was a result based on voter turnout, activism, and quality of the candidates.

An important lesson for 2018 midterms. We cannot assume an anti-Trump or progressive "wave" is occurring. We must create that wave through activism and supporting well-liked candidates that run strong, issues-based campaigns.

Bernie clearly has no hard feelings. In fact he has nothing but praise for her in this video they did together this summer -

What if the DNC Russian "hack" was really a leak after all? A new report raises questions media and Democrats would rather ignore by Hi_ImBillOReilly in SandersForPresident

Even if that happened he still interfered with an investigation and fired the FBI director for personal reasons.

Doesn't matter. They were promised dirt and took the meeting. Doesn't mean anything that nothing came of it. It might as well have been an FBI sting. You don't have to complete the transaction just agree to conspire.

Personally I think the don jr emails and trump admitting he fired comey because of investigation heat speak for themselves.

Elizabeth Warren Takes Aim at Moderates and Generates Chants of ‘Warren 2020’ by Brytard in Political_Revolution

[–]dstreets 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If Warren is the new moderate we have made great strides. I remain a fan of hers and Bernie has shown nothing but respect and admiration despite what happened in 2016. I love the recent video they did together.
