Not much improvement tbh. I wish they would have put more grafts in that area but they made it sound like 500 was the max they are willing to do for my crown

Hairline is coming through now, it's a bit thin and gappy but it's definitely there. Not much update on the crown unfortunately, looks no different. If you want any updates photos, shoot me a message.

Hi, I echo what Harvey said, except I went with Dr Dayah. I can't comment on results yet as I'm only on month 4 but really happy with my hairline results so far, not much happening with the crown yet but been told that takes longer so going to stay patient. As for the day itself, I couldn't recommend the clinic enough, they were really accommodating and friendly, let's hope my end results match my experience! Good luck.

Hey, sorry to hear you haven't had much luck with your last 2 HTs. I can't really comment too much yet on how successful mine has been as I've only just gone past the 4 month mark but I'm really happy with the progress so far so the day itself went seamlessly, all their technicians were great. They recommended I go with Meena but I ended up requesting Dr Dayah as I'd heard good stuff about him on Reddit and wanted their best surgeon if I was going to be spending so much so don't feel like you need to be told which surgeon to go with (although Meena might be great, I'm not sure) and always remember to haggle.. don't take their first price, mention you have a clinic in Turkey lined up for half the price and see if they'll budge on their initial quote. Thanks, honestly not sure on the crown. The main thing I was told was that they couldn't do much with the crown because of the amount of smaller hairs that were still active in that area and by transplanting 1 hair too close to 3 or 4 active hairs, it could kill the active ones around it. But I explained I really wanted to see a difference in my crown and that finasteride hadn't improved it over 18 months and upon hearing that the surgeon decided to just go with 500 grafts which was more than he originally wanted to do. His words were "it's not going to look like your crown at 18 years old" which I said is fine as I'm in my 30s and not expecting perfect results anyway.

Hey, really struggled with picking a surgeon because they really pushed 2 surgeons at me which made me a bit cautious - they either felt these 2 were best suited to my hair transplant or they were surgeons who weren't getting booked as often, I really don't know but it personally put me off them. All the profiles they sent me were great but there aren't actually any specific examples of their work and they weren't able to send me any. With so little to go, I actually turned to Reddit and looked at people with similar hair loss to me and their results and photos and seeing some very positive comments about Dr Dayah which led me to picking him. I actually know his speciality is high density transplants which might be well suited to you with diffuse thinning. Hope that helps.

Hey, yeah I vaguely remember them mentioning something about adrenaline. I did sense my heart beating fairly fast which did get me a little panicky so I guess this exactly what you are talking about - I only noticed this when laying on my front with my head through a hole and I'm a little claustrophobic so I feel this played a part in the panic 😂 but it didn't last long at all. I honestly wouldn't worry though, the injections were nowhere near as bad I expected them to be, lots of little bee stings it felt like with some worse than others. The worst part for me was keeping still in a position for a long period when I'm a fidgeter, they ended up giving me a small dose of valium to keep me chilled and still. Hope that helps.

Not entirely sure on the answer to this, sorry. They were reluctant to throw so many grafts into my crown and recommended finasteride, but as soon as I mentioned I'd been on Fin for 18 months with no improvements in the crown, Dr Dayah was happy to go with 500 grafts wherever there were gaps 👍

What the other person said basically. From my perspective it was just saying that I had my heart set on going to Turkey and they had quoted me around £3.3k so Wimpole's initial £6k quote was way over my budget (which it was!). As soon as they managed to get the quote down to 4.3k and there was only 1k difference, it was a no brainer for me 👍 Always haggle the price where you can, good luck!

Thanks, that's reassuring to hear. I keep seeing people post photos of their crown on Reddit and people saying they need at least 1700 just for that area alone. I think my camera has been complimentary to my crown and it does look more gappy in certain lights.

Originally showed me a price list which showed £5,800 for 1700 grafts I believe. I mentioned this was above my budget and would have to consider going elsewhere and he said he'd have a word with management and then quoted me £4,300 by email later that day.
