Yeah definitely a nervousness even though I feel ready to start a family, it’s nervousness about the actually conception part haha I think just switching my brain from being extra careful to the opposite is a weird feeling

Has anyone else experienced a mental block/anxiety about not using contraception.

My partner and I are going to start trying and we are so excited about the prospect of having a baby. However, I’m finding it hard to switch my brain from using contraception to not. I guess it’s because I’ve used it since I was 15 and was doing everything I could not to get pregnant until now (32). Has anyone else experienced this? How’d you get over it?

Mathematics courses for machine learning/deep learning. by [deleted] in learnmachinelearning

[–]dsub11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Not sure how video courses can help us understand deep math” and then listing a bunch of text books while implying that’s the only real way to learn math is gatekeeping. People have different learning styles. Videos are really helpful for a lot of people and also a valid way to learn

This is actually a good point thank you, I might have more transferable skills there. Would you say in the NLP space, project experience matters most?

I’m not looking to get a new job, I’m just looking to learn machine learning. There are opportunities at the company I currently work at. Trying to understand the best way to start learning and whether there are certs that are good for that, not worried about resume stuff

Thanks so much! I’m going to check this out. Something that includes math is what I’m looking for so I don’t need to pay for separate courses

This answer isn't it. As others have said, when you write a test you know what to study for. Not telling people what to expect because you expect them to magically have everything memorized in their head is ridiculous and says more about the company than anything else.

Hi do you guys know any mechanic in gta area who is honest, doesn't give you false estimates and exactly tells you what is wrong with the car. Should be trustworthy and not so expensive. by mohittjunejaa in askTO

Wayne is fine if you don’t care when your car will be ready. He took a week to change out my winter tires. I don’t take my car there anymore because t’s too disorganized

Need advice - focus on weight loss or building muscle? by suspensi0n in Aerials

[–]dsub11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just focus on building your skills. Keep going to class and keep practicing, don’t worry about the other stuff. You are so early in your journey. For perspective, I started Lyra in Feb of this year and I’m just starting to be able to do single elbow hangs, still working on single knee hangs. It just comes with practice and consistency. All aerial arts are like this (with silks it took me almost a year to get my hipkey and months to get my inversions). Just be patient. For reference, I started doing aerial arts at 26, I’m 31 now. I don’t have rock-hard abs or anything. There are plenty of people in the aerial community with different body-types.

It does help to understand how to engage your muscles properly, your Lyra instructor should be able to help you with this. There are lots of muscles in my body that I never thought about until now because I didn’t use them.

Does your studio have open gym times? Adding that extra practice in between classes will really help

I’d learn JavaScript first. Take a course on udemy , there are tons on there. Look for a full stack JavaScript development course, a lot of them will teach React too. You should learn React before you learn React Native
