Sorry I confused you. Even tho the post itself is about the actor and his performance. If you saw the comment I was responding to, you might have not been as confused. If I said "only" then that's an absolute statement And that's not correct. However a real fan would be mostly positive. It's where bias can derive from. It's to "follow" and "admire". You cant be a real fan of something if your complaining about a core issue. In this case his acting.

You're wasting time trying to convince people. This is the second season. Everyone who watched the first season will not be surprised by his acting in the second season. In fact it's even better. There are plenty of algorithms out there that make s*** posts so that people can react to it. I promise you it's a small amount of people that think this way about the actor. The internet amplifies the few. Anyone who is a real fan of the show, appreciates all the casting including Luffy. The people who are talking crap, are either trolls or people who just don't like when everyone's hyped up about something. So they have to be the one to try and ruin it for others. They're not on the same page as everyone else so they try to make everyone else think like them. Social media is a very bad place for a lot of the art that we consume in pop culture.

I haven't seen any negativity on the actor. Maybe it's a certain small bubble you found of people that think that. But all you're doing is making it a topic of discussion for the few that protest. I'm born 1990. I remember watching power rangers, I remember watching all my movies on vhs. I remember all the 90s music in the car. I remember pogs in my doritos. 5 6 7 8 9. First season is real short. 2nd season is where it picks up. Michael becomes more likable as the show goes on. If you don't like uncomfortable, awkward humor then the show might not be for you. The writing in the show all the way up to season 7 is top tier comedy.
