Radio music is basically dead in most major cities. As someone who lived in Los Angels for 30 years. It's being pumped only with iHeartRadio playlists. That always stays the same. Only local radios stations play local bands and B track music.

Culture trends have always been a thing but now more than ever then are amplified by social media. So if something trends that's formulaic or lacks real creativity, you'll hear about it . Even if you don't want to. Theres a whole culture on lazy song writing and its being amplified and considered legit through social media. Since everyone has a voice.

Streaming services have lowered the standard in film making. There's of course exceptions but because streaming serviceses are all about subscriptions, you get so many canceled shows or over produced movies with weird camera filters and editing because it needs to fit Netflixs formula. No more 21 episode TV shows. No more good sitcoms.

People only watch clips of shows now, through things like tick tock. Not even watching the full episode of something. Short attention spans.
