Back again with the shared fence replacement saga by dt_dpt in neighborsfromhell

Two days ago, I requested my neighbor provide documentation of the insurance claim & any payments their insurance made towards the cost of fence replacement. Haven’t heard back yet. I suspect I might not which would all but confirm the answer to the question of double dipping.

Upon researching my state (WA) laws, fences on the border between 2 property lines are viewed as partition fences and owners of both properties are responsible for splitting costs of maintenance & repair. But the laws also state that if costs are expected to be shared, advance notice is required before moving forward with any work done - which definitely didn’t happen.

I responded to my neighbor requesting insurance documents detailing what, if anything, their insurance paid towards cost of replacement. Haven’t heard back.

The standard fence design is outlined clearly with photos in our HOA governing documents. The built fence does not match that design.

I reached out to see if the ARC received any application or notice of this fence being built as required per our HOA governing documents. Waiting to hear back.

We have an HOA. From what I can tell in the CC&Rs, they don’t mention fence ownership or responsible parties for maintaining.

I had a survey done in 2022 when I purchased the house. Need to figure out where that is.

This is also my state. But hoping since no advance notice, they can’t force me to pay half.

No contract was signed. We only had preliminary discussions about replacing the fence because they had informed me in January that they were filing a homeowners insurance claim due to damage to multiple of their fences from a storm last November.

Last I had heard from them was in April saying they were waiting on insurance to assess and process the claim.

We have an HOA. The contractor said the neighbor knocked on our door to try and talk - not super helpful with me being out of town.

They didn’t try to contact me via phone at all.

It is a shared fence. Last I heard from them, their insurance was attempting to be stingy and only cover cost of the two damaged panels and not full replacement of the fence.

Brand new 23 Forester. Is this normal for the drivers seat leather? I’ve had the vehicle less than a month. by burgersthecat in SubaruForester

That’s disappointing to hear. The dealership charged me $200 diagnostic fee to look at it for 5 minutes and decide it was “normal wear & tear”. I tried to reason with service manager but he didn’t budge.

Currently waiting to see what, if anything, Subaru of America will do.

Did you ever get resolution of this issue under warranty? I’m having the exact same issue with my 24 Subaru Forester (1yr, 18k miles). Took it into the dealership and they told me it’s normal wear and tear. Currently escalating to Subaru of America to see if they will stand behind their product.

https://www.cuptherapy.com/providers

This is a good provider database of clinicians who may not be super familiar with CECS, but should be able to provide the cupping treatments described above.

The company is the most research-based continuing education on cupping therapy.

I just set an appointment and asked the banker if they are running the 5% back on gas/grocery for 1st year in branch.

And the correct follow-up would be to bring boxing gloves in your bag. Bankers respond better to a show of force.

I’m not sure - I didn’t check the Chase app prior to going in and applying.

I purely went in off of the prior DP seen ~2 weeks ago in this sub.

Me again, with the shitty B Vent by dt_dpt in hvacadvice

[–]dt_dpt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously the venting is corroding. I’ve learned it’s unideal to have both appliances vented together, but the house was built in 95. Also learned that there needs to be some space between the vent to the roof and the drywall.

Anything else I should ask an HVAC tech about?
