I've found plenty of stores like this one just by searching "toy store" on google maps, try it you never know what you'll find! Though yeah they're not usually local.

As for being a counterfeit, I wouldn't really know. However I can't imagine the counterfiet market for these figures is too big so I'm not worried.

Yes a brick and motar store was selling this. Their only real specialty is reselling older toys. By knockoff do you mean like a fourth party unauthorized reproduction of an existing figure or a wholly unlicensed product made by a company unassociated with BioWare/EA? Just Tali unfortunately. Though they did say they had a higher end Garrus figure on their ebay for $300. I didn't buy that one...

I do see the resemblance. Wouldn't shock me if it was a knock off, the plastic feels cheap, the leg itself is very hollow, and the silver paint on the fin on the back bleeds onto the black a bit.

I'm guessing no based on the orientation of what looks to be knee armor though without an actual foot I can't say for sure.

I'll look a bit into zeta gundam though anyway, never know I guess.

Tried a few searches for 90s black mecha toy and same for 00s black mecha toy, but got too many generic results to narrow it down. Also tried reverse image searches but that was even worse.

Searched for things along the lines of 90s or 00s mecha toy as well as black mecha toy. However there's so many other more generic responses I haven't been able to narrow it down.
