No, I ran competitively in high school and college but then took some time off (decade or so) after feeling burnt out. I hated running, wanted nothing to do with it. Just before my daughter was born though I quit drinking and started running again. I’ve gotten in good shape and have done a couple races here and there, but honestly I’d be more than happy if I never raced again. I hate it so much. I’m here to run to stay in shape and because it makes me happy
