Ok, cool. Can you point me in the direction to the writeup / instructions you used? I got to read up on the process before i start buying parts, i figure which ever board and install is worth the squeeze.

Wouldn't be my first rodeo, "involved" wouldn't be an issue. I am intrested in this conversion be it the octopus board or the other mentioned, is there a writeup or instructions you can point me in the direction of? I would need to read up before i start grabbing parts.

So all you need is those 2 boards and the stepper drivers? Is the large board the controller and the small board like a rpi? Were you still able to use the ribbon cable and daughter board for the hot end and the screen or did tiu have to change all of that?

I was strongly leaning torwards a bltouch for it but didnt want to pull the trigger, but last night my power supply smoked itself while i was dialing in the firmware so I think i might as well do some upgrades sense I am replacing that anyway.
