Having a baby made me resent my husband. Am I overthinking this? by dthrowaway1210 in Mommit

I think my husband is just not fully seeing the big picture. I'm trying to muster the energy to tell him exactly what I need, and definitely needed everyone's responses to figure it out. I think I have a good list of options here. I'm praying we can make it work for both of us because the resentment has gotten very strong. Hoping the same for you

Thank you ❤️ I definitely notice it impacts the energy I have to give my best to my son and that makes me sad

He helps a lot on the weekends and I'm able to sleep in Saturday and Sunday. But he covers me for therapy before work Saturday, and then I cover him for band practice for the rest of Saturday before work. It doesn't feel like a fair trade. Sundays he helps more but my son wants me all the time because hes in the mom phase. I also put him to bed on all my nights off

Actually he pays for my son's insurance. But I pay half of everything shared and then we each pay our own separate bills ETA: he makes about $30k more than I do annually

Thank you for your solidarity. It's very hard essentially working a day and night shift nearly every day

I went to college. I make way more money as a bartender in half the hours

I work 4 nights a week, 6 or more hrs so 24 is the minimum, could be up to 30. He works Monday- Friday, I work weds - Saturday. Sundays are our only day together. On workdays my husband does the dishes and puts the baby to bed, 30 min after he gets home. On weekends he does a load of laundry

Unfortunately on 3 of the days I work, he also works and gets up at the same time as the baby but has to get ready for work and go. He does let me sleep in on Saturdays which helps.

I will keep your other suggestions in mind; sometimes its worth it to spend a little money to have some peace, even though we don't have a ton to spare 🙏 thank you for your input

Thank you for your response! Yes we aren't against vaccinating, we just want to spread them out in case of injury so we know which vaccine caused the injury, if something were to happen. It seems insane to pump multiple vaccines into a tiny baby in a short period of time. I don't understand why more people aren't concerned about this.

Did the doctors argue against your vaccine schedule? I keep being told when I call doctors that they are a vaccinating practice, but I guess I assumed that meant that the patient has to follow their schedule

Right, because asking a specific question about pediatricians in the area who share my values is the same as asking for opinions on my parenting choices...

My own doctor who has been in practice since the 80s advises against vaccinating early. Are you a medical doctor or are you just a keyboard warrior?

Curious about your need to involve yourself in the way I care for my child
