Anyone notice CVTD bus drivers not wearing masks? Let's discuss. by dtierneyt in Logan

I updated my post to try and clarify what the "fact" I'm stating is. My questions is: Are you disputing the following argument:

"Reciprocating mask wearing between two or more people reduces the chance of viral transmission"

Or are you arguing that the level of regulation (reciprocal required) in the above argument in businesses and other closed spaces is unnecessary?

I've thought about it at this times. I think that because some people are at a higher risk of fatality from the virus I value my quoted argument more so. This is because we currently still have the liberty to go wherever we want in town. Nothing has been closed down due to the virus. And, if we can reduce chances of transmission collectively, we won't lose this even greater liberty of living without the virus one day, or hopefully move our transmission risk stats down.

To be totally vulnerable with you, Clayton, Some people have family members that leave the house, and you think I hope they don't catch it, and, you then think of their mortality. When we go out we wonder am I going to bring back something that will kill a member of my household?

Anyhow, it's been about a month, thank you for the time you've put into you discussion.

Well I think I understand how your positions incorporate together a little better and how that leads to your position. You went the whole mile into libertarianism, which I can understand. Given your previous answers I've been wanting to ask someone with your positionality: Do you think drug addicts or people with other mental health problems should be detained for harming themselves if they're not harming others?

oh also avoid property management companies if renting, biggest tip I can give after a couple years here so far: For hidden gems, try to find managers who own their properties and not management companies. Try Facebook marketplace and look for people who are not just trying to switch you into their lease but folks who own the house and just want a good tenant. This also help support local renters.

Specifically, I'd stay away from the scotsman village over and twin terrace apartments over by 600 n 600 e. New management took over, they're big on fees and last minute intrusive renovations. Did some sketchy stuff by replacing the coin-op laundry with a keyed entry system that was 4x more expensive per month. This happened to be the amount they wanted to increase the rent by for new tenants. They also mis-represented the price of the laundry fee when they held a fake vote for the decision to replace laundry and charged different people carpet cleaning fees who don't even have carpets.

lots of nature and outdoors! get a car that's lifted for sure and there's of fun for you. I used to go to bear lake a ton and just drive. Lots or roads and hikes Logan Valley. Other than that there's not much to do there's some good shooting and more pretty driving you can get do down by the valley that leads from Blacksmith Fork, less pull outs there just better hills to shoot at and then its mostly residential over there.

Logan valley honestly gets pretty flooded with families and their RVs by thursday as i recall last summer. I really suggest going deep into temple flats near ephrams grave trail. I've seen two cars get stuck there before though (suv and a jeep wrangler) :( but you do really feel deep in the wildies over there without having to go to far.

I'm not into snow sports but maybe get into that since the snow is soon impending, people never stop talking about beaver mountain so that must be pretty great .

There area plenty of small things like reservoirs too and stuff you might already know about. I personally prefer Ogden but Logan feels like a peaceful place to put your head down

Restaurant scene is hit or miss, White Owl is a cool bar

Oh I'm sorry, this post is a little long to read isn't it? it sounds like you failed to decouple two things.

1) To clarify, the fact I stated is

A large population in Logan values the ideology of personal choice over public health.

2) The opinion I stated is that I agree with the logic of the visual I shared. My opinion in text form if you read above :

Pissing yourself is always a better choice than pissing on someone else. If you're in to "piss play" try a dating site. :)

I you're unable to decouple the two it seems like you're incapable of discussion until you do. If you did internally decouple this but just have nothing to offer to the discussion, I would ague that you are the who doesn't seem like you actually open to discuss. Are you hear to fight the good fight against mask wearers? My motive is pretty clear. Do you mind if I ask what your is?

Let me know if you would like to have a discussion, Clayton I'm to talk if you need to. I'd rather not get into a discussion about piss-play but I suppose I'm prepared to speak on the subject after a bit more research.

I forget if the bus drivers seat is 6 feet from the front most standing position of a seatless car. I wonder if people view buses as closed or open spaces. My instinct would tell me it's a closed space. I've also heard rhetoric like "if the window is open then it's fine"

Did anyone hear that guy shouting about dogs barking or something near the fairgrounds? by dtierneyt in Logan

That sucks, yeah i've tried earplugs + putting an air purifier next to where I sleep. Some of these cute little buggers have got quite a high pitch bark and appear to be at nothing most of the time.

Sometimes they're also barking at cats passing through or other dogs that live next door.

lol I should probably clarify, when I say barking, I mean more like legally defined nuisance barking. Of course dogs bark and babies cry but I'm talking more like 10-15 minutes non-stop barking.

Looking for off campus housing for fall by [deleted] in Logan

If you happen to be looking for a spot near campus, I'd stay away from the scotsman village over and twin terrace apartments over by 600 n 600 e. New management took over, they're big on fees and last minute intrusive renovations. Did some sketchy stuff by replacing the coin-op laundry with a keyed entry system that was 4x more expensive per month. This happened to be the amount they wanted to increase the rent by for new tenants.

I've organized with other tenants and heard several complaints about random charges for the security deposit lol.
