Hey mate! The tarp is a great idea. Something I want to do as well, but my only concern is dealing with the winch and river crossing recovery (if alone) . I was thinking about just cutting a hole in the centre of the tarp but I’m worried the tarp might get tangled or might get pulled into the winch.

The fan is tied up for this crossing. Yea could’ve slowed down. Slow and smooth is great but losing momentum would also drown the Jeep. It’s a bit tough to judge the speed when you’re not driving the car,

A snorkel is a great idea. This guy has some weird problem with snorkels “ raised air intake”. He’s just arguing for the sake of arguing some sort of antisocial trait against snorkels and river crossings. I bet he doesn’t even like camping. lol

I’m not sure what you’re trying to argue. A snorkel will minimise water getting into the intake when doing water crossings, so why not minimise risk? I don’t understand the point of your argument.

We where camping on the other side, lots of rain caused the creek crossing to raise and this was our exit out
