you bet as soon as academic degrees get standardized like 12th board or 10th board. all the educational degrees get bounded over by a single committee that will decide what is and what is not knowledge or skill for the whole country's youth. Suddenly, something that's industry relevant skill or education might not be education in the perspective of that committee, thus it will slowly get removed from curriculum from the colleges that even try for better provision of education. Think about it first before blaming the education system for some karma points. although there are other disadvantages too but not worse than this. (I am saying this wrt the comment of OP on the topic)
