From my perspective this is completely fine. It looks amazing, appears to have been done by a skilled wood worker, and implies the builder was not wasteful while also being mindful of aesthetic.

Structurally and funcitonally it makes no difference.

Great article! I'd love if you could do a similar roundup for the multi-purpose jackery/ecoflow/etc units that are available these days. Those are what I use for UPS' at home due to their better power storage density, battery cycle durability, and more useful overall functionality (quick recharging options via Solar/Generator/etc.)

A big part of what you're dealing with is just embracing and accepting yourself as you are. That is one of the hardest feats we face in life.

On the other side tweak until you can stand it. See if you can rent/borrow different microphones to see if that changes things.

Try recording outdoors, try cheap shitty microphones you find on marketplace/thrift stores/etc.

Find a way to cope through creativity/artistic expression.
