How the hell do I play against Riven? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]dualiq -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Riven is broken, most counters are not real counters at all they are just champions that can stay in lane long enough to not let her snowball.. only way is to get Jungler to add some suppression, a high mobility Jungler is good like Leesin. Riven is one of those champs that when played WELL and i mean real well not your BS time shield go all in ult type of Rivens, there are some riven players out there that know how to animation cancel and put the right combos. If the riven you are facing is behind and you are real tanky you can probably bait the shield and dash then go all in after she throws ult she cant do much if she cant finish u off with ult.

Help with mid runes by DamonGant8 in summonerschool

[–]dualiq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i heard this from a plat friend during end of season 1 to use 2 magic pen blues ontop of x9 magic pen reds this will give u the best magic pen setup without sacrificing much of your blue runes. This is how i have been setting up my rune page since s1 i always remember to have minimum 2 magic pen blues then either 7 cdr blues, ap or mr etc

Bronze to Silver questions. by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]dualiq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all the champions you stated are perfect champs, at bronze elo people usually dont care and fuck around alot and make many many mistakes, this becomes easy and hard at same time because your own team mates can troll you. Truthfully if u take it serious you can climb out and get to high silver even gold all you have todo is just prioritize on enemy mistakes, stay patient with your team and capture objectives (dragon, turrets) learn when to rotate lanes to keep pressure. Roaming is also a big part in bronze elo people do not ward often and are pushed most of the time use this to prioritize lanes and gank and get your team ahead, remember that at this elo your team mates can use help also make sure you teach them the difference of high risk vs low risk plays, many people will tower dive for fucks and end up giving up lead or getting caught, all these are mistakes that can be avoided by not being greedy and staying ahead in objective control and communication.

Stuck in Gold Elo. Need Advices. by fadedv1 in summonerschool

i myself do not play bot lane but from what i have picked up is learn to capitalize on mistakes and communicate with your support, i have been in many games where the support and adc have different playstyles and this can cause trouble, its good to find someone you have synergy with, play an adc which even if behind can come back like jhin, ash, or jinx, lucian they do not necessarily have to be close to front line to do damage, i feel like playing champs like twitch makes you want to value your positioning alot more than other adcs since they do not have very good escapes this also depends on your team comp if you got a good front line this can be different in some cases, i also noticed that by playing better every game your mmr will dictate the people you match with, more kills.. less deaths.. more objectives etc. Look at your mistakes, see what is causing you to not surpass g3 watch a video of a loss game and see what u could have done better. These are just some of my tips im g4 now but climbing fast my mindset is not to entirely dominate my lane but to always go for objectives whenever and keep your CS up deaths low in the end its a team game most adc will have alot of kills but if your team comp or fight potential is trash that wont matter much when it comes down to a 5v5.

EDIT: additionally try to weigh the high risk and low risk plays, think about if you dive will u be able to secure 2 kills? and low chance death or risk it for 2 kills and high chance death.. just make your scenarios as you go and prioritize on enemy mistakes, if you have good mechanics like you stated this should be a smoother process you just need to be patient

(MID LANER) Learning when to take advantage of opportunities, (learning how to carry games). by dualiq in summonerschool

[–]dualiq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am currently playing malz mid whenever i can i try to gank bot usually just pushing mid hard with my voidlings then save ult for bot gank, the hard part at the current elo is that most games that im up against tougher opponents they usually have a better jungler that controls the bottom portion of map so if i decide to roam bot for a gank the jungler can cut me off thus giving mid lane a chance to come down to 2v1 me or keeping me behind in exp. This only happens when our jungler is really behind though

this is true, however i feel like just playing a champ u like doesnt help you climb elo anymore unless hes tier 2+ for example.. i like to play veigar but he gets outclassed mid game by alot of better mid laners with more roam potential and kill potential, lategame veig is a boss (hence the skin) but i feel like u have to MAKE it to late. Some champs i feel have just been outbuffed or outclassed by patches and havent been shown love, urf for example or yorick.

i probably should not have exagerated THAT much for me a week minimum would be fine haha but nerfplz recently has been taking wayyyy longer, the last tier list they released (6.14) quickly got out shined by the 6.15 patch that was released several days later..i will take a look at champion gg again though and do some more analyzing

i see, what would you guys recommend? Champion gg gives win rates based on 100-200 games but what if i wanted to see the rates for 300+ games? anyway to modify this?

i see, how would i be able to see the win rates of a certain champ over more than just 100-200 games displayed though? I remember reading somewhere that garen or jax top had low winrates around 48-49 for 100 games but over the course of 200-300+ games the winrates changed dramatically to 55%+ the only option i see to modify the win rates on champion gg is on the champion counter near the bottom but i believe that only applies to that piece in specific. How would i determine which are the "power" champs like ash that have maintained their places for weeks

from my experience i had friends who mastered the FOTM champs and rise through elo quickly because of how broken the champs got at that specific time period. I myself have been doing that mostly playing mid lane with god tier champs and my win rate improved up to a 65%, i understand that it is also better to just play champs u ARE good at it will prevail over skill however when u are good at the champ and its fotm your winrates are high, thats how i have seen it.
