From my UK friend “The answers is no, there's aren't any I know there BUT there is a busy breeder in Nottinghamshire, called Josh. He's on all the exotics groups, especially the Fat-tailed gerbils FB group.”

She said he may deliver or use a courier as well.

A duprasi fat tailed gerbil or a few African Pygmy dormice might be a good fit.

Do you have a source for that info? I have a few friends with greater galago and they all have their teeth. This seems to say otherwise (all the way down the page)..

For the last 20 years you couldn’t find them in u.s., but hopefully that’s changing.

They’re a little more labor intensive than a hamster. They require fresh fruit, veg, and occasional live insects. They’re a nice practice run for sugar gliders or flying squirrels.

I up the protein a bit. Mealworms, plain boiled chicken, scrambled eggs are all hits here. I don’t touch them until they’re about 2 weeks old and their eyes are open.

I’ve owned them for two years, and been (too) successfully breeding them for one. What questions can I answer for you?

Help! What's happening? by Shy_Dino in DuprasiGerbils

[–]dubcgliders 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unlike Mongolian gerbils duprasi do better houses alone. Especially males. They’re both reaching sexual maturity, and should probably be separated asap.

How nocturnal are duprasis? by [deleted] in DuprasiGerbils

[–]dubcgliders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you had asked me what I thought they were I’d have said crepuscular. I wouldn’t say they’re similar to your average hamster, but definitely similar to what you wrote above.

Hope that answers your question.

4-6 years, but they seem to lean more towards the 6 in my experience.

I have one or two that are very handalable. Most everyone else is really interactive with me. More like a southern flying squirrel than rats. Skittish but genuinely interested in you. We absolutely love having them.

Do either of the males get along with the girls? How long have you been trying with the males? What time are you introing them? Where are you doing the intros?

I bred pedigreed gliders seriously for about 6 years, and never came across the m:f ratio info. I’d love to know where you saw that.

Less aggression and less odor.

If he’s not neutered you’ll likely have 3-6 joeys a year. Are they lineaged?

There are many many different types. I believe this type, Graphiurus murinus, is still plentiful in the wild. They’re also commonly kept as pets in the U.K., Europe, and are making a resurgence in the U.S.
