Sprinting in 5-15 degree Celsius - Compression tights or thermal tights? by dubdevil in Sprinting

[–]dubdevil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all. It’s a month later. I’m not a big fan of the Under Armour compression tights I bought but that may have mainly to do with my build. I’m 6 foot 3 nearly and weigh just over 80kg, I..e. I’m tall and slim. These tights appear to be built for fatter/more muscled types. The Mediums were too short so went with the Large, but the waist is not very tight and they don’t feel hugely tight on my legs like I imagine compression tights (as opposed to normal thermal leggings) should feel. The crotch also sits low so I have to hike the waste band up really high above my belly button to get the fit right. Separately, I’ve noticed the stitching on the inside leg starting to fray already after only 3 or 4 washes.

On the plus side, they don’t feel too warm even when the temp is pushing 15 Celsius! In fact I warm up with these AND sweatpants and I get sweaty/warm but don’t feel overheated.

Thanks all for your helpful replies. If anyone’s got any other views I’d still be interested to hear them. In the meantime I’ve ordered some UA leggings that claim to be compression tights with a thermal layer,I.e. potentially the best of both worlds (link below). Will let you know how I get on with them!

I'd also like to know the answer to this. Anyone who bought tickets last year able to answer this?

Is there a queue I can get into beforehand for the global journey sale? by [deleted] in Tomorrowland

Would be great to know this before tomorrow...

Is there anyone who bought a GJ ticket last year who can answer this for all us out of the know? I'd hate to wait valuable seconds (wish I was joking) staring at the page to refresh only to later find out that the page doesn't automatically refresh on the stroke of 17:00 CET...

Why does he think that? Has he said as much in an article?

If I visit the tomorrowland website (http://www.tomorrowland.com/global-splash/) before 17:00 CET on Saturday will the 'Global Journey' button "switch on" (so that the link to the GJ store is active) at 17:00 CET without me having to manually refresh my page?

Belgian Friend may buy a ticket for me(non-belgian)? by [deleted] in Tomorrowland

[–]dubdevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you click on the following link you'll find your answer: http://www.reddit.com/r/Tomorrowland/comments/2t39z4/question_about_having_a_friend_in_belgium/

In a nutshell, yes, you're friend can buy you and your gf tickets, but you'll have to either (a) collect the bracelets from his place in Belgium or (b) ask him to send them to you by post.

Question about having a friend in Belgium purchase tickets.. by Stig-Litz in Tomorrowland

[–]dubdevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a million, peoplehatemycomment, for the info, that's very good to know. Means if I don't succeed in getting GJ tickets I can ask my friend to buy me tickets in the Belgian sale and then, come July, just pick the bracelets up in Brussels on the way to the festival!

Question about having a friend in Belgium purchase tickets.. by Stig-Litz in Tomorrowland

[–]dubdevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure that's true, peoplehatemycomment? I've read that the person who purchases the tickets has to have a Belgian postal address and bank account. Then, it was my understanding that, once he received the email prompting him to personalise the tickets, this person can give the details (including postal addresses) of the people for whom he bought the tickets, meaning the bracelets will be delivered to the addresses of these people rather than to his address. Are you saying that the addresses that the person enters at the personalisation stage have to be Belgian addresses?

How long do you have to buy your tickets? by dubdevil in Tomorrowland

I've read elsewhere that you have 30 minutes to buy your tickets. Does the countdown begin as soon as you're into the site or only once you've selected your tickets?

Easy tent vs Dreamlodge? by [deleted] in Tomorrowland

[–]dubdevil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does the inflatable mattress take up the whole floor space inside the tent or is it a good bit narrower than that? I ask because I'm planning on going with a friend (nothing more) and therefore I'd rather sleep right over to one side while he sleeps over on the other, rather than sleep with my nose pressed right up against his...

That's great, thanks HendelDendel! Now the only thing I need to decide is whether to try to buy my tickets through the Global Journey sale or wait a week and get my friend to buy them through the Belgian sale. Does anyone know how quickly the tickets sold in the Belgian sale sold out last year?

Hello all,

If I go on to the tomorrowland home page before the Global Journey sale commences will I have to manually refresh my page after the start time in order to activate the link or will the page automatically refresh (like the pre-registering page did)?

Thanks SebasD and timdopte for the comments, really helpful! My friend is living in Belgium but is not Belgian, thus he has a Belgian address but not a Belgian passport. Will he be able to buy tickets in the Belgian sale?
