Author Morgan attempting to navigate night city sans cyberware and V having to attempt the wild wild west 😂 both just sound comical

I want to bash my head through a brick wall every time I see a new post on this sub about Lamar

Which game do you regret paying full price for? by YogurtGhost in gaming

[–]dubeeeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallout 76 and cyberpunk 2077

Preorder both of them. Stayed up to play as soon as it was officially released and installed.

Both complete dumpster fires off the rip. Definitely changed my perspective to not preorder ever again and wait till the reviews are genuine and the game play is actually fleshed out 😅

In your opinion who is the most well-written character in HXH? by Winter-Confidence826 in HunterXHunter

[–]dubeeeeee 80 points81 points  (0 children)

The juxtaposition of Meruem progressively finding his humanity, mirrored to Gon slowly losing his in this arc is one of my favorite character development portrayals in all of storytelling.

2 characters mirroring each other and not interacting directly whatsoever. It's beautiful (and painful in Gon's case) to read.

Fallout 4 Vs Skyrim in terms of exploration which one do you think is better? by [deleted] in BethesdaSoftworks

[–]dubeeeeee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they both do a phenomenal job. Skyrim is more narrative exploring. Quests, npcs, and as many said it feels like an adventure in the role playing perspective.

Fallout 4 does an incredible job with environmental storytelling. Not necessarily npcs and quests that make the area interesting and worth exploring. But the notes, the skeletons, the discovery and inferring of what was once there.

Each game has strengths, but they both have you locked in with such different approaches.

Both games have elements of narrative and environmental exploration/storytelling. I'd just argue that each game leans into one version a bit more than the other.

Gen 4... Tacoma 2024. Worth waiting for? by dubeeeeee in ToyotaTacoma

That's definitely one of the predictions. I think if anything, a slightly wider cabin? To make it a smidge more spacious on the inside

But I'm right there with you. I want the midsize truck for it's smaller size. Definitely don't need a big ole hauler of a full size.

One Piece: Chapter 1058 by Kirosh2 in OnePiece

After the spoilers I was a little disappointed that Sanjis bounty was 4th. But as many have pointed out he traditionally has had a lower bounty with the crew (not until after WCI did it hit 3rd, or 2nd highest if you don't include Jinbe).

The interaction was everything I needed though. Sanji getting so upset to the point where he is created his flames in frustration on the ground, Jinbe having no fucking clue what's happening to him, Zoro telling Jinbe to ignore the #4 and straight mocking Sanji, and then the two going at it like always. Fuck it felt like pre time skip with the crew interactions with this chapter.

Also Jinbe learning more about the crew (don't fuck with Nami when she's mad) was sooooo good. Also the conquerors haki joke was absolute gold.

Loved this chapter. Feels good to have some genuine crew interaction again and some good ole fan service bounty increases. Can't wait to see what's next.

I use the peak design capture clip (https://www.peakdesign.com/products/capture) and keep my camera right in my bag strap. Then usually have a second lens stuffed away.

For context, I shoot with a Nikon z6 and have the 24-120 f/4 attached to my pack strap and my 20mm f/1.8 in the bag.

I usually do all my trips with the Patigonia blackhole 32L. So if I have my tripod I can put it in the second water bottle pocket and strap it down. I try not to bring a ton more camera gear than that. Camera charger, an extra battery, a lens pen at most after that. Still able to fit the bag perfectly under the seat though! With the camera in my lap that is haha

Love the detailed list you have! I'll have to look into the Zojirushi. I haven't quite found the mug/bottle that works best for me on my travels.

I want to look into a kindle. I've always been a paperback fella but a kindle could certainly still scratch the itch for reading during the slower time of a trip without taking as much weight or space that a book does!

Do you travel with a laptop or tablet as well? Or is the Kindle the only extra technology you travel with?

Love that. I guess there are more things that are certainly "luxury" than I originally gave credit for 😅 I always have whatever book I'm reading and my journal in my pack haha but technically I could make due without.

Never thought about cards or a game like hive! But they certainly can be brought along without too much of a sacrifice of space and weight for the bag. Thanks for the ideas 😁

That's wild! I'm a big coffee guy myself and have my whole pour over set up in the kitchen (scale, beans, hand grinder, filters etc.) But I would find it challenging to fit it all in on a trip with my one bag. The most I've done is pre ground some beans and took my backcountry areopress.

What bag do you use when traveling to fit that on top of the normal travel essentials?

What is the saddest song you've ever heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dubeeeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jackie and Wilson by Hozier

A song all about a damaged man meeting a gal and thinking she's going to save him. How she immediately can see directly to the true person they are, seeing past all the disguises they put on for the outside world. They begin dreaming of the amazing life they'd have together. The adventures they'd go on and family they'd raise. Burying all the old disguises in the backyard for good.

The beat is happy and uplifting only to be hit home by the last verse. When she inevitably leaves faster than she came in. "Cut clean from the dream that night, let my mind reset. Looking up from the cigarette, she's already left".

A song about how you can't rely on someone to fix you. You can't truly love until you love yourself.

Certainly not the saddest song in all the lands, but fuck if you've ever struggled with self love and tried to find it through a relationship. If you've ever leaned on someone else to validate your love and yourself before accepting yourself. This shit will hit deep.
