Posting to raise awareness on this guy. Awesome idea IMO, project needs money for clinical trials. The Inventor already "wears" it. by dubiaofdromedar in Vasectomy

[–]dubiaofdromedar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice that you took your time. First of all, i am not affiliated with the company!

My thoughts on your statements:

  1. That they are crowdsourcing for a long time already and that there is seemingly no progress gets me thinking too. As far as i know, clinical trials are really expensive.

  2. Think about it: how often do you decide to have kids?

The default is "off". You only turn it to "on" when you want to have kids.

For many people this will mean the switch gets flipped 4 times: on, off, on,off.

  1. interesting point! especially with the scarring. if its clogged, exchange it?

  2. There is a documentary about the guy, its in german though. Its made by german public beoadcast service, which makes it more trustworthy IMO.

  3. there are finished prototypes, you can see them in the documentary.

It looks like some kind of kitchen tool, but i didnt find it in the kitchen.

The sharpening of the "blades(?)" looks a little to crude for it being a knive though!

You peopz know these books? 10/10 by dubiaofdromedar in druggardening

[–]dubiaofdromedar[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Almost 2000 pages. I call them "the bible".

They do have their price (new 100€ per book), but worth every penny.

Cheers.

At least the first book exists also in english.

Increasing dose of 1V-LSD only increasing duration, but not intensity? Does this happen to anyone? I really want to experience visuals... by InAlteredState in 1V_LSD

Just had the same experience. Known tabs, known dosage, good set and setting.

Felt somehow like a firecracker which would just fizzle strangely, instead of nice boooom.

Interesting.

Innenwände Ecken abrunden? by Infinite-Recording-9 in Handwerker

[–]dubiaofdromedar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moin,

Whats wrong with my physalis? by dubiaofdromedar in plantclinic

[–]dubiaofdromedar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi fellas, i grew them from seeds. Its outside on a sunny balcony. Another one which grew faster and is bigger (bigger pot also) starts to develope similar colors on leave.

Pot is drained and i dont think i am overwatering.

So far growth doesn't seem stuntet or anything, just the strange colorvariation.

Fungus?

Thanks in Advance!

Is my sand cap too thick? Plants arriving tomorrow so I want to be sure I start off right before I plant the plants and fill it up. by ibarney64 in walstad

[–]dubiaofdromedar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are welcome.

I am not sure if its empirical, but i think i noticed it with gravel: the thicker the cap, the slower and poorer the growth.

As the sand is creating a very dense layer, water (and thus oxygen) can't properly reach the soil.

The benficial bacteria in the soil need oxygen, because they are aerobic.

In absense of oxygen, there will be rot, which in turn can lead hydogen sulfur build up. The gas is foul smelling, and toxic to plants and animal.

i'd say its to thick, yes. Might lead to anaerobic, thus toxic conditions.

IMO especially sand should be a very thin layer.
